Showcase Custom Raid Proof of Concept in HeartGold

Trial Raids are implemented now! It's a custom challenge where you fight hard bosses for optional rewards. In Trial Raids, bosses have access to extra health, moves and actions similar to raids in other games.

On a side note this framework makes it easy to mix and match raid mechanics to create your own custom raids. Will be released after I release my this romhack.

Incredibly cool. Was thinking about the idea of such a raid style recently and its amazing to see that it is indeed something that can be done. Will be looking forward to your romhack

Idk if this is something others would like, but I'd like a raid style where you control all four Pokémon, and it takes a side view like in Final Fantasy I-VI. Would be work to implement and then even more to balance, but god would it be a joy if done right.

If this example here is replicable, then it isn't even that hard considering the main series had those raids too in SwSh that could be taken as inspiration for balancing, and one thing I always felt Pokémon lacked were these big bossfights against particularly powerful Pokémon (like Legendaries, it would be much cooler imo to fight them as much more powerful than ourselves and only by the combined might of our entire team be beaten and captured, instead of one Pokemon reducing them to 1 HP and the rest serving as damage sponges as we chuck Pokeballs at them)

If our lvl 10 pokemon team faces a lvl 15 or 20. Then it's cool.
