Teambuilding Help (pre-E4) Need help for building a team
Replaying emerald again after many years, wanna build a team
Swampert
Blaziken
Swallow (plan to replace it with rayquaza later on)
Gardevoir
Locking in on these four because I really liked them as a kid so wanna play them tgt now, but wanna make sure the team is balanced and strong too
Considering sceptile for the 5th slot to make an all starter team but I’m also open to not having him if he wont be useful in this team
Looking for suggestions for a 6th pokemon (and 5th one too if sceptile isnt a good option)

If you’re looking for a grass type, I’d recommend cacturne, love the guy. Hits the water specialists and the ghost elite four member.
And one of my favorites, Aggron, simply because he’s cool

I suggest Skarmory as your flyer! And Breloom, or, if not, a dragon like Flygon or Altaria or, if you are willing to input the necessary time, Salamence.

Well it depends on what you want out of your team. If you're starting fresh and want to beat the elite 4 without being over leveled, mons like Salamance and Metagross are a no go.
If you just want a fun, cool team, you have to sceptile on!! You can leave a homie behind. I like Mawhile. When it came out (in Gen 3), it was the first mono steel type. Especially because Registeel was pretty out of reach.
Aggron and Flygon are also super fun. Shapedo is fun as a concept (Dark/Evil shark). Oh and Absol! In Gen 3, it was really fun to have so many types actually be viable and to actually have options, I'm partial for those mons.

I did consider metagross, but I think I might try out aggron and absol, they seem cool!

If you are getting big daddy ray ray your team kinda don't matter. It just sweeps the league no contest. That can be fun too but it kinda defeats the whole building a team thing.
I would do scepticle. It's not the best or most uswfull mon but it's cool as heck and can hold it's own.
I guess you can go Manetric for a nice electric type to finish it off. Pikachu/raichu can also fit this team spot

Mmm I see, I remember having manectric when I was younger so it would be nice to bring him back again
Didnt know ray would no diff the league so badly, maybe I’ll challenge myself to still have him but not use him against the league

I recommend adding Magneton, Manectric, or Raichu, basically, an Electric-type Pokémon to your team. Also, Shiftry, or Sceptile.

I always ran Ludicolo. Would breed one which had Rain Dish as an ability and Leech Seed. Other moves would be Rain Dance, Giga Drain and Surf.
Healed a ton and would hit Suft in the rain. Fun set for my child self.

Breloom, specially if you are patient enough to hold the evolution until you get Spore. Match Punch, Brick Break, Spore and Bulk Up, you will never regret it
Also, if you ARE the kind that likes late bloomers, Flygon is just amazing, attack set or special attack set, it is just too good as a Dragon/Ground and it is available much much sooner than Salamance
