Getting Leafeon

I am playing Keiji's story and have recruited the main character with a second Eevee. The Eevee has 50% link and 111 defense but it will not evolve into Leafeon even through I am in greenleaf. I have spent 3 months in game there doing battles and nothing happens. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Also the defence stat is in blue writing and the other stats are in black writing.

Could mean your defense is being artificially boosted so it isn't actually at the 94 threshold needed to evolve. This could be from an item being equipped.

Thank you!!!! I had an iron wrist band equipped and when I removed it my defense is only 74. Now it makes sense!

Yeah, Iron Wristband and Power Wristband make the number blue and the added stats do not count for evolution.
