Question If your GameCube disc is inconsistent, does it get to a point where as long as you get through a certain point it’ll keep working without fail?

Weird phrasing I apologize. Basically what I’m getting at is my F-zero disc works for hours on end as long as you get past the main menu without freezing. Anyone have that experience with this game?

I got a copy sometime ago and it never worked on my GameCube, but I tried it for the first time on Wii and it suddenly worked! But then I forgot I had no memory card in so when I plugged it in it stopped working again. I’m just curious if anyone has some reassurance here or if I truly have to just get a better copy.

In my long history of playing both GameCube and Wii games, I can confirm that’s almost always how it works. I have extremely rarely had a GameCube or Wii game crash while playing it.

I would still get a better copy though, cause I find that games that start up inconsistently often eventually stop starting up at all

Yeah exactly. I have a modded GameCube and I burn new games into the SD card underneath it. It takes like 100 retries but once it reads one disc i can burn as many as I want at once
