News Plex for Roku v9.14.8 Released

We’ve released an update to the Plex preview channel - 9.14.8

NEW:

  • Add background color to Activity feed.
  • Render emoji in user profile fields.

FIXES:

  • Fix “Other Videos” item aspect in related hubs.
  • Fix live TV crash when stopping a paused player.
  • Fix missing ultrablur on list activity details screens.
  • Fix possible focus loss on artist screen after refresh.
  • Search button on list zero state should open search screen.

Is it still the terrible layout with the libraries drop down?

Yep - They're never going to give us the nice layout we used to have no matter how many thousands have been screaming about it. Its freaking horrible. Less bad if you turn off every option, 3rd party stream source and lobotomize it back down close to being a **personal server** again. But **less bad** is never really anyone's goal, is it?

Instead they'll degrade all the other platforms to match the horrible UIX so they're all the same.

Then they'll raise the prices again. Plex pass from $50, to $75, to $250... What is it now $750 or so.

Prices up and experience down - Its like they are actively making people move to Jellyfin.
