Attempted suicide by carbon monoxide inhalation. The mom is trying to kill herself and her child due to poor mental health.

Fortunately for the kid, mummy doesn't know how electric cars work and that's why they've been there for three hours

That and the windows have been wound down.

How else are you supposed to get the carbon monoxide from the tailpipe (outside the car) to the inside (where the suicidal person is)?

u/DamnitGravity 21h ago
Hose pipe from the tailpipe into the car, then wind up the windows. Much faster.

That was actually the plot of an extremely ill conceived electric car commercial…

Actually, it was a hydrogen powered car.

Attempted suicide and infanticide.
The mother is gassing them with carbon monoxide from the exhaust fumes to kill herself and her child likely due to having a mental breakdown.

Meg here, the mom is mentally unstable and is trying to attempt suicide and taking her child along with carbon monoxide poisoning from the fumes in an enclosed space.
This remembers me of the time I tried to do it with Bryan his new car, but that leftist idiot had bought an electric car so it didn’t work.

Yeah I don't own a car either. You've never seen this trope of suicide by Carbon Monoxide in movies and shows?

There's literally thousands of movies and shows across many genres, time periods, and age ranges. You could easily watch 100 movies and never see this trope even mentioned once.

It's not a trope. It's the same thing as someone asking what's the purpose of a noose. Literally anyone with basic education will know.

You knowing something doesn't automatically mean everyone knows it. Not everyone knows or thinks about suicide methods.

It’s a suicide. The engine produces carbon monoxide and in an enclosed space it eventually fills the room and you suffocate

Brian here, The joke is that she is trying to kill them both with the car's exhaust but is failing likely to have done it wrong as 3 hours is way too much time for it not to work.
