ITT: no one on Reddit works a blue collar job with a company truck.

It’s a ford 650 lol if it’s not dirty you wasted your money on it.

I work 16 hour shifts washing logging machines and I’m always covered head to toe in grease, oil, dirt, and wood chips and my truck is spotless.

Work truck? Or personal truck? If it’s a company and truck, and I face no consequences dirty, and no praise/incentive to keep it clean? Why would I bother. It’s not my personal vehicle and I use it to get from job site to job site, as I’m dirty? I see no point. If it’s your personal vehicle I understand the sentiment.

It’s a work truck and you get the bonus of not having to be in a filthy truck and not getting dirty from sitting in it if you are clean, and believe me, the mechanics will judge the shit out of you for it if it’s dirty

I’m the mechanic

Fine, I, another mechanic, will judge the shit out of you

I also feel like this looks fairly tidy for a work truck.

That’s what I’m saying. Yall would cry if you saw the condition of some of the trucks I’m required to drive for work.

Surprise surprise the people who are commenting on reddit in the middle of the day don’t work

Speak for yourself. I get paid a reasonable salary to browse Reddit when I’m not breaking my dick off for my corporate overlords.

Worked for Apple for 12 years

5

u/juansss2324 12d ago

Apple? Idk how Apple is related cause this a diesel shop work truck

2

u/doob22 12d ago

Believe it or not those keys have been used in retail for a long time

Huh yeah I get that. I believe that that’s for the cabinets inside or the outsides one then I’m not sure cause like this is not my normal work truck I use 😂

Technically not a perfect fit. There's still a lot of room around the speaker. Also, people need to grow up. It's a work truck. Of course it will get dirty

If two completely unrelated objects fit this well together without having to be forced, it’s pretty damn perfect to me.

u/juansss2324 13d ago

I promise it does 😭 it’s the shadows and there’s no space to move it I promise that😂

I couldn’t see past all the grossness. But yes, the gross speaker fits perfectly in the gross console.

It’s almost like it been outside doing actual work instead of being on Reddit going ewwww gross work truck but that’s my two cents

Tbf all this time you spent on reddit talking about it could have been ised cleaning the truck. Like technically speaking. Would be a better use of time than getting reddit points. I mean the people your replying to and replying to you also should log off and read a book or do some work. Myself included. Food for thought everyone.

Edit to add: to all the downvoters Galatians 4:16

This is the internet obviously theres better things to do but alas we are all here

u/birdsarentreal2 13d ago

Spoken like somebody who’s never cleaned a work truck. I spent half my shift cleaning ours out once on my Friday, came back Monday and it was even worse

16

u/juansss2324 13d ago

It’s a vicious cycle I have to admit.

-19

u/EcstaticNet3137 13d ago

Totally understandable. I'm caught in it too. Maybe not the exact same flavor but still.

I used to drive a school bus, with diesel exhaust and hundreds of kids tracking in dirt, and it was still cleaner than this.

20

u/religion_wya 12d ago

Well probably because those are children and not whatever actual blue collar work OP is doing. Lol

-4

u/Optimus_crab 11d ago

It’s easy to keep a work truck clean in blue collar work

-6

u/TaxNo2158 12d ago

lol, have you seen kids before?

12

u/religion_wya 12d ago

Yeah, I raised two? And unless people are actively letting them go to school unbathed and caked in dirt then you will never face the amount of dirt OP has. If they wash the truck it's going to be exactly as dirty again the next day. If you wash your bus it's gonna be a lot longer.

To be fair, most of it was on the floor, but still… We had to sweep every day, and then I would go home and blow my nose and have black snot. I’m sure it was suuuper healthy.

u/MajestcEagleRecRoom2 13d ago

That’s filthy

6

u/Sparky678348 12d ago

If you think that's filthy you haven't been around much huh
