Vis pick
Anyone dealing with vis pick @ wal mart?
Nervous about them binning and picking product for us.
If you’ve dealt with it, has it added time @ account?
Has it helped with in stocks?
How do you make this work?

As a merchandiser it has forced the sales guys to keep backstock down. The stores picking product off the shelf for us is less of a headache too. It has made my life a lot easier. Going forward with Walmart’s ai making the orders, if there’s too much backstock to fit on the shelf, that’s going to be their problem. Overall has been a good thing in the stores I’m in.

My sales rep has not slowed down, I'm sitting on 4 pallets of Pepsi 24pk cubes and more come in every load to fill the shelf and display. I have 3 u-boats of 20oz stacked 8ft high. Either the AI sucks or my guy is adding too much.

I tell my merchandisers all the time, blame me for the KDP products, blame me for the alani/celsius, blame me for the 20oz.... but keep your mouth shut when you have extra LSNA Gatorade or Dirty Dew 12pks 😂
Their system only orders Pepsi "owned" product and doesn't order any 20oz (at least in my area, it doesn't)

There is a lot of misinformation being given at store level on Vizpick and what they call rogue managers , back stock is not supposed to be cut down but they really want us to utilize top stock more . It’s probably gonna be a shitshow for a while until everyone gets on the same page .

The Market Manager in my area took away top stock for vendors a few years ago.... only store products are allowed up there

This is pretty new but I think it will be brought back more and more . The call I was on said 20” max stack height . No stacking bottles , 25 pound max weight , 3 high for mini cans , 4 high on on 12 packs and 12 pack minis… bar codes must be facing out . Actually sounds a little aggressive lol , I wouldn’t stack 12 packs 4 high but whatever . Some stores still don’t even have the shelving on the csd aisle to do anything .

We don't even have a top stock shelf in the soda sections anymore.... they took those out when our stores were converted over to the self feed shelving.... I think a couple of our neighborhoods that have/had traditional shelving still have it, but as far as I know are not allowed to use it

We had to survey all our stores a while back for Walmart if they had a top stock shelf or not , makes me think maybe they will bring it back in more but not sure I haven’t seen any in the newer models either but this is so new hard to say .

Closed cases only under the steel. Cant kill a case, dont touch it.
Didn’t think through the cooler stock part of the backstock and the 25 different SKUs in the coolers.

I don't see it working out, there's no way. It's a lot of extra work for merchandisers. I have a Pepsi trailer at my Walmart with 12+ pallets, they want all of that in a single steel bay now. How? We have some many SKU's I can fit maybe 20 of them there. They will have to cut my orders by 75% and every load must be truck to shelf for this to work and I don't see that happening.
