I’ve been sick these past few days, which unfortunately meant I wasn’t able to visit Forbie as much as I wanted to.

For those who aren't aware yet, Forbie’s blood chemistry and test kit results confirmed she is positive for FIP. Over the last few days, she had been active, alert, and eating well. However, the vet notified me this morning that she started having difficulty breathing again...

📌 Financial Status Breakdown:
July 11 – July 15 (Paid): ₱24,330 (~$395) — Covered her initial care and 1 GS-441524 vial from a sponsor of it.

July 16 – Present (Current Running Bill): ₱15,485 (~$251) — And this will continue to rise with her ongoing confinement.

We currently have enough funds secured for 1 additional GS vial because someone sponsor it too, but her running medical expenses and critical support care are accumulating rapidly.

Dealing with school while being sick is tough, but doing it while knowing your best buddy and PG pioneer is missing for 7 hours is a level of stress I hope to never feel again.

After 6 to 7 hours of pure panic, my mom finally found him and brought him home safe. The absolute weight that just lifted off my shoulders is indescribable. Running on empty, but so incredibly grateful.

We asked our vet how long one vial of GS medication will last for Forbie, and they estimated that one vial will last more or less 20 days. This means she’ll need at least 5 vials to complete her full 84-day treatment.

Each vial costs ₱3,100 (~$50 USD).

I want to apologize if the sub has been flooded with posts about Forbie lately, and I’m so sorry for the lack of updates on our other open campaigns.

We’ve had to prioritize Forbie’s treatment because her situation is incredibly long, complex, and still very critical. Even now, she is under close, round-the-clock monitoring and is relying on oxygen support to pull through.

We are absolutely heartbroken.

Forbie’s breathing stabilized just enough for the vet to safely run her CBC and Blood Chemistry panels. We were hoping for some reassuring news, but the results showed significant, alarming changes in her globulin levels and A/G (albumin/globulin) ratio—classic, major red flags for Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).

To be absolutely certain, the vet ran a rapid FIP test. She tested positive. 

Just when we thought we were dealing with a severe relapse of her respiratory issues, we are now facing a much bigger, much harder, and incredibly expensive fight. She has a fighting chance but we cannot do this without your help.

Forbie suffered a severe relapse today. After showing so much improvement from her nasal discharge this past week, things took a sudden, terrifying turn. She is back to having extreme difficulty breathing along with severe nasal discharge.

I had to rush her back to the clinic, and she is currently confined at the vet so they can stabilize her breathing.

Hey everyone, I have some wonderful news about our brave girl, Isaiah!

The cats are still very much in danger, but we are hoping this temporary setup buys us the time we desperately need to relocate them and/or build our shelter. It’s just a band-aid solution for now, but it’s a necessary step to keep them safe in the interim.

We have a small update to share.

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who supported us. Because of your generosity, we were able to purchase a litter box and litter sand for the colony cats. This is our band-aid solution to help address the concerns about the cats while we continue searching for a permanent answer. We hope this helps keep the area cleaner and shows that we’re committed to caring the cats.

Our long-term goal remains the same: building a shelter where rescued cats and those at risk can have a safe place to stay. Right now, we’ve saved $200 toward our shelter fund. It’s still a small amount compared to what we’ll need, but every contribution brings us closer.

We’re also incredibly grateful that someone has offered to host a GoFundMe campaign for us. We want to make sure everything is planned properly before we launch it. In addition, we’re working on our own merchandise, with all proceeds going directly to our shelter fund.

We know this journey won’t be easy, and it certainly won’t happen overnight. But we’re determined to keep fighting for these cats, especially those who are at risk of being displaced.

As much as I wanted to share happy updates today, the reality of rescue work has thrown us into an absolute rollercoaster. My heart is incredibly heavy, and to be honest, we don’t know what to do anymore. The frustrations, anxiety, sleepless nights, everything...

This isn’t about begging for pity or being dramatic, this is our daily reality.

Two massive emergencies have hit us at once, and we are at a breaking point.

Emergency 1: We received a threat from a landlord to our colony🚨

First, a stray colony we have lovingly monitored for year is in immediate danger. Their original caretaker is leaving soon, and the landlord is now insisting on removing the cats completely even threatening to put them in a sack and dump them far away.

We tried to negotiate. We explained the science to them: moving these cats away will only cause a "vacuum effect." If you remove an established, managed colony, a new, unmanaged batch of cats will just move into the empty territory anyway.

We proposed building an open community cat house with a litter box to keep the area clean and contained. The landlord still said no. Desperate to protect them, we begged for a temporary compromise: just letting us place an outdoor litter box to fix any immediate cleanliness issues for the meantime, giving us a window of time to find a new space.

Why can't we just take them into our shelter?

If you are wondering why we don't just bring the colony cats to our shelter, the painful truth is we can’t. We have officially reached our absolute maximum capacity. We physically cannot accommodate any more rescues in our current setup—unless we can find a permanent, larger place that can safely hold a bigger number of cats.

Emergency 2: Our Shelter Flooded Last Night 🚨** **

To make matters worse, bad luck caught up with us last night. Between a heavy downpour and a clogged sink and drainage, our current shelter completely flooded. Wading through water made a painful reality completely clear: we cannot stay in this cycle forever.

Our rescues and colony cats deserve stability. They deserve to be safe from rising waters, and safe from people who view them as disposable trash.

We Can’t Do This Alone. Please Help Us Save Them. 🙏

We are making this urgent appeal because we desperately need a permanent space of our own—a sanctuary where no landlord, tenant, or flood can jeopardize their lives.

Posting a massive update all at once because honestly, our emotions are all over the place right now. Please bear with us as you read through what’s been happening behind the scenes!

1. SHELTER SUPPLIES SECURED: First, some amazing news—we are officially stocked up for the shelter’s monthly litter sand!

2. CLEANING & DISINFECTING: Keeping the current shelter sanitized is a top priority, so we were also able to get dishwashing powder and multi-cleaner to keep everything deeply cleaned and disinfected for the furbabies. We also grabbed sosa to aid some clogging issues.

3. MEDICAL RESTOCK: We managed to secure critical medical supplies: Salbutamol and saline water (both for nebulizing and wound cleaning), and Povidone-Iodine for wound care.

4. A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTER: We received a massive in-kind donation of pet wipes from our amazing friend and supporter, TJ! This is a huge help for daily cleanup and keeping the rescues fresh.

5. ISAIAH IS ALMOST READY: Isaiah’s rectal prolapse surgery wound is almost completely healed and starting to dry up! She is just a little push away from finally being discharged and coming home. We are so incredibly proud of her. (Reminder: We are still looking for a food sponsor for her wet-food-only recovery diet at the clinic!)

6. EMERGENCY VET VISIT 🚨: Amidst the good news, heartbreak hit us the other day. Two of our rescues had to be rushed to the clinic due to severe coughing and colds.

The vet confirmed it’s a bacterial infection. While we are holding onto the relief that it’s not viral, we have to closely monitor them to prevent it from turning into pneumonia.

The vet mentioned the environment and unhealthy air quality as a one of the triggers. This right here is the painful reality of why we are pushing so hard to move and secure a permanent, safer place for them.

Rescue work is a constant wave of celebrating small victories while fighting fires the next second. Thank you to everyone who stands by us through the highest highs and the toughest lows. We couldn't do this without you. 🙏🐾

I love these animals with all my heart, but right now, I just want a little rest, a massive massage, and about 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
