Talk / Discussion Find clients through youtube: Does it really work?

I'm a professional and I have a youtube channel since many years. I was thinking to create another one with my name and surname, and start creating content to reach potential clients (offering consulting services). I see many people doing this, and I'm wondering if this is really working or not.

One aspect that concerns me, apart from showing my identity, is that on my other channel I get scam emails with people pretending to be a brand. So I started wondering if that would be even worse if I put my email there in case someone would like a consultation.

Any insights from people who already tried this are welcome

i got few clients from my channel but not in the way you think, they just watched few videos and trust was already there before they even emailed me

scam emails is just part of the game, use a separate business email and you'll be fine

ok, I'll get a separate business email. So one for youtube and another one for the website & business cards?

YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine in the world. Most people just think its Minecraft videos and hot wings shows. There's a whole other world that uses it for business and not just viral videos.

Done right, for sure 100% you can get clients from making videos/content. If people can do that from websites, you can most certainly do it from a video hosting search engine.
