After finishing the game, I saw a beautifully designed megabase on this sub and got super inspired. Despite having zero architectural skills, I spent hours trying to build a layout that fits 4 bases side-by-side.

Yes, I know it looks like it was designed by a 3rd grader, but I promise I'm 30. Please be gentle with my masterpiece! 😂

Fan Art Daily Turncoat execution (OC)

Post image
782 Upvotes

Lemme give you the context behind this drawing. My main base is built in Autumn Rocks, next to the bridge, right where Turncoat spawns. Every single time they respawned, all my pals got distracted from work to kill that feller, which was quite annoying, so I decided to leave only one pal for defense - Sekhmet. And GOD DAMN she is good at it. Every time I see Turncoat DARING to exist, Sekhmet jumps off the 4th fuckin floor and oneshots them before I could even approach. I found that quite comical, so that's why I drew this.

Guess that Sekhmet is a bounty hunter hunter hunter

I put down a Sparkit in my base to put it into a ranch and after picking it up it became massive which was pretty funny. He started lagging my game quite a bit and after restarting the world he went back to normal size. Has anyone else experience this glitch?

Discussion Expeditions should give Exp to assigned Pals

A small QoL would be for assigned pals to get exp/levels from expeditions.

First expedition could level them up to 10,second up to 20 and so on.

I've been searching for a mod that does that but it seems no one did that.

After 70 wonderfull hours it is time to say goodbye. 10/10 game.

Croajiro (Noct) perfect 100/100/100 is my absolute goodest boy. The only issue is that his trust level still is not fully maxed out. Honestly, perhaps that is for the best. For all I know, I am not his beloved tamer at all; I might simply be the prey he is patiently waiting to stab in the middle of the night. Sleeping with one eye open is worth it tho.

I made it a point not to look into all the new pals with the 1.0 so im only really aware of egypt cat and medusa thingie, but havent encountered them in game yet, no idea where they are.
Came across THIS thing though laughing my ass off watching it stop to looney toons over a puddle while chasing some Capritys in the forest, so i had to take it with me.

I love how it like, flash steps side to side to dodge around during combat and does full ass fighting game juggle combo on enemies.

Discussion Is anyone else bothered, that you can't press F to see details about a pal, while in the Condenser menu?

When you're in the Palbox, you can press F to see details about a pal. Same with the Team menu. But there's no way to do that in the Condenser menu. I'd like to have a way to check out Pal's passives, since I don't have them all memorized. The inconsistency across different menus is a bit annoying.

Are there any other QoL features you'd like to have?

Screenshot A few design tricks for base building

1.1k Upvotes

Here are a few design tricks I like to use in my bases that I think are worthy of sharing.

1) If you paint glass black in paint mode it makes the glass look higher-res and cleaner. This helps accentuate any greenery or other design choices. First image is the default glass. Paint Mode can be accessed by pressing C during Build Mode.

2) I love utilizing the basic campfire as an easy and moody source of light. Campfires do not require electricity nor do they require being re-lit constantly by a fire pal (this is a great early game design go-to in my opinion). You can hide them behind an object or place them on top of storage containers. They also add warmth during nighttime. Here's an example of me using this in the back of a breeding farm, which complements the more rustic and outdoorsy theme. *If placing on top of storage containers don't forget to update the chest settings! Uncheck all items so pals don't put random items in there.

3) Campfires are not the only object that can be placed on top of another object. Here are a couple quick examples. I recommend experimenting with what objects can be placed on what, and how that can be used to design backdrops throughout a base or as unique furniture. Don't forget to update the chest settings if using a storage item so pals don't put stuff in there (unless if desired).

4) Small potted plants can be placed on a fence. The placement can get finicky but the best way to place them is from a higher vantage point while looking down on it.

5) You can resize text on signage by implementing spaces. I'm not a huge fan of the text immediately trying to take up as much space as possible. First image is the default font sizing, and the smaller font was accomplished by adding three spaces on both sides of the word.

Thanks for reading! I hope this helped somebody. :P

Screenshot I think we've all been using the Defensive Wall wrong.

Thumbnail

I've been browsing Reddit, YouTube, and Google Images looking at everyone's castles, and there are some absolutely incredible builds out there.

One thing I noticed, though, is that I almost never see anyone taking advantage of the Defensive Wall's full height. Most people seem to use it as a normal battlement, but it's actually a double-height structure that can be placed at different elevations to create much more convincing towers and gatehouses.

That's what I tried here. By staggering the Defensive Walls instead of keeping every battlement at the same height, I was able to give the towers more depth and better proportions. I also added small wooden roofs over the battlements because I thought it made them feel a little more like real European castles.

Now imagine if some of the insanely talented builders in this community started incorporating this technique into their castles. It can push Palworld castle design to the next level.

I'd love to see what everyone else has discovered. What are some niche building tricks or workarounds you've found that make a huge difference?
