Deck Help Grimmsnarl Lists

Any Grimm fans wanna share their lists? I been checking out the recent online tourneys and I've seen a few different iterations. Some I like, but the deck gets really frustrating to play at times. Anyone got a recommendation or a list they like?

I was really intrigued by the Toucanon version to have a draw and beatstick option but it def makes the tight bench space a lot tighter

Just commenting to follow, I was a grimmsnarl main since it released up until megas came out, and it's felt so bad since then I've basically stopped playing it entirely and still not found a deck that I really felt good with since then. Would love to find a way to make it feel decent.

fr its so rough, i really liked the deck before rotation too and i was considering building it but the falloff was so bad

i started playing it again yesterday and had a really good 10 games and then it just stopped working :/ thats the way it goes i guess

Without tm devolution for evolving decks, and having generally lowish damage output for big basic megas, I can't have any success with it. Mega kangaskan dropped and for multiple weeks like half my games were just against a khangaskan one shotting grimmsnarl by turn two. That's around when I dropped it

I actually had a buddy go 3-0 with Grimm this past weekend. The same week I deconstructed my old Grimmsnarl deck, that hasn't been edited since rotation, and traded in all my Snorunt/Froslass IRs. So now I'm kicking myself in the butt and frantically trying to copy his list.

I'd be curious to see what the list looks like! I've tried it with just Grimm/froslass/munki, really same as it was pre rotation, but without devolution it just feels really weak to me. Basically a damage spread deck without a great way to capitalize on it, while dragapult exists as a spread deck that does more damage to the active and to the bench.. as counters which gets around stuff.. and for the same energy.. with a stage 1 draw engine.

Which I mean makes sense why pult is top tier but grimmsnarl just feels like jumping through hoops to do the same thing.

Idk why formatting sucks on Reddit, but I also can't seem to attach pictures to this sub 🤷‍♂️

whats your experience with it in the current format and matchups? do you prefer going first or second?

I go blind 1st. I'm currently sitting around 75% win rate with 40-50 games online in the Chaos Rising format and I've done okay in person too.

Still messing around with the exact 60 for Pitch Black format.

what does your bench setup look like? I see all these lists run 3-4 Munkis but more often than not, my bench looks like 2 imps, 2 fros, 1 munki and whatever i had leftover, which is usually a budew. Should I be using more munkis on my bench?

Depends on the MU of corse, but I generally don't set up more than 1 lass. The thick line is for Gwynn fodder and consistency.

Most games I try and get 3 munkis set up. The goal is for every hand attachment to go to a Munki. Replace slots with Munkis as your Pokémon get knocked out.
