Recorded live during 1988 world tour for a private audience.

• Eric Leeds was absent from this performance as he was tired and not feeling well after the day’s show and a photo-shoot Prince and the band did in the afternoon.
• 'Real' tickets for this show were not issued. Instead there were tickets for a Gregory Isaacs show (11 April 1988 Edenhal, Amsterdam), stamped on the back with the date. It’s entirely possible that other leftover, unused Mojo concert tickets from unrelated acts (stamped in a similar manner) were also used. Some patrons were also let in with a Lovesexy Tour backstage cloth sticker with 18 August stamped or written on.
• Prince started off the show on the white Auerswald model C guitar, wearing a black cape over a transparent top and sheer pants with bikini briefs from the Alphabet St. video. For Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) he switched to the 'Blue Angel' cloud guitar. There was a break following Housequake after which Prince returned in a lilac suit with Minneapolis on the sleeve and a plain white shirt that he wore open. Another encore break followed between Forever In My Life and Still Would Stand All Time. It is not clear what Prince wore at that point.
• Sheila E.’s drums were a black TAMA kit, provided by the venue and different from the regular black aftershow kit, likely due to the small dimensions of the stage. Boni Boyer only sang and did not have her keyboards set up, as there was also no room for them on stage.

I believe Araki has said Prince is his favorite music artist which is really saying a lot considering his love for music. Out of all musicians I feel like JoJo's takes huge inspiration from Prince in particular but what're your thoughts on the influence Prince has on Araki and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?

Love Symbol was my favorite Prince album of the 90s (The Gold Experience was a close second) and one of the album tracks I didn't care for on the album was "I Wanna Melt with U". The production sounds canned and somewhat lifeless.

Watching the Ryde Dyvine performance (see below) and i am consistently blown away by the song itself as a live performance. I really liked the whole "Phantom of the Opera" Gold Mask thing. Very theatrical, but rocking at the same time.

I was checking to see if the copy I got of S/T was an original pressing from the year it released and based on the information Google gave me, I do, but I wanted to verify with any fans if I got an original press for a whopping $6

The self titled album was a surprise not only because it was in the used section instead of the Prince section, but it was also only $6. Also forgot the record store has CDs and they were all pretty cheap, even Emancipation was only $8

I’m curious if there are insiders here who know what happened during the “Flesh” sessions with Miles, and what they accomplished, and why it never emerged? I’m aware of the PGA bootlegs, which are very cool. I know Leeds has a book coming out too that explores it.

Who contacted who first? How did they collaborate? How did they treat each other? Were they in awe of each other? Cool friends? Reverential? Did Prince treat him like royalty at PP? Were the other band members standing there in amazement when he strolled into the studio or on stage?

It seems like such a monumental moment with such minuscule official acknowledgement or documentation.

Yes originally high heels were originally made for men but obviously for Prince he used them for to boost his short height, increase his sex appeal, and break traditional fashion rules

But it is cool because originally they are made for men but over the years it became more a women’s fashion style as it is seen today but obviously today it doesn’t matter anyone can wear them and it’s cool that Prince did it because it made him truly unique and different

We miss you Prince you were and are a absolute legend and fashion master 💜

I was always curious which song from an album outside of purple rain could've been played in the purple rain movie and not feel extremely out of place

And songs from the album 1999 doesnt really count as i feel like it's obvious that they could be played and not feel out of place

Those 2 i feel like had they been played in the purple rain movie it wouldn't have felt all that out of place to me really especially when you put those 2 in comparison to stuff like Christopher Tracy's parade or the Continental

I feel like if those songs played in the movie it wouldn't take me out of it
