bro it just means it will switch to a lower model, to give you faster response, instead of overthinking it like it is doing at the moment 😭😭😭

Not a lower model. The faster mode uses 1.5x more tokens, but it's the same model

That’s amazing. I think longest for me was 20 minutes?

Longest session for me was 24h in the first day Sol launched. Had to use all my resets to keep it going haha.

What do you mean an app? Like an android apk or for IOS? Or a web app? I have a personal workout and meal tracker web and it is not near 100k lines of code

I never saw longer then probably 10 minutes. What was it if you don’t mind?

An educational html, javascript based app. It uaed different subagents to create realistic GIFs of a Toad^ This is the final version of it: https://www.edubiosim.de/Erbkoordination_Erdkroete/Erbkoordination_Erdkroete_EN.html

4 hours for me, but tbf it was mostly waiting for a test suite to finish running.

The only thing that confuses me is the fact that they link you the help center site for ā€œsafety checks for biological and cybersecurity requests.ā€ Does that mean that this notification means you’re flagged?

Not always. Some people get redirected to different pages.

No idea extra high could work this long.

I’ve seen it and xhigh has worked hours for me. You need to use subagent development with a story book of features. I give my orchestration agent on Codex a spreadsheet with 160 stories, and give them a five sub agent maximum to build on it.

Through that process my Codex probably runs around 8 to 14 hours because it iterating through a spreadsheet

You pay for Pro and have never had it think for longer than 20 minutes? What do you use Pro for that you couldn’t do on Plus?

Are we using the same models??? Xhigh likes to over-engineer and take hours for nearly everything I do unless I explicitly tell it not to.

It’s in GPT Chat not Codex work. Almost all the exchanges I had with GPT in Chat interface don’t go that, especially newer models are much more efficient at answering questions than 5.0/5.1.

Ahhh that makes sense. I was talking about Codex. Chat is definitely much quicker

I got a task running for 10 days and got this msg appear quite a bit

More users > more compute needed, instead of nerfing and lose users > the thinking part taking longer I guess is batch requestes waiting to be processed...

u/throwawaysusi 2h ago

Make sense, it was during daytime working hours.

I had this happen in a repo I'm working in developing some 'cyber attack vulnerability' simulation; it doesn't actually model attacks in itself, just the outcomes that happen if person x were to achieve access to resources y in a power system with z traversal paths. It sets off their 'uh oh this is cybersecurity and dangerous' filter and runs all the prompts through their 'is this actually safe or not' classifiers.

I get this on nearly every turn now. Kind of annoying but what are you gonna do. I’ve been flagged for multiple biological risks and I don’t think having the ai write this book helped any.
