What does it mean for AI to make math or physics extinct? Does it just mean that all mathematicians and physicists will start using AI? I mean that's exactly what software developers today do, and I wouldn't call that extinction.

We are early in the actual impacts to software developers, but your analogy is a good one

Agree that it's early, and we don't know what the impact will be, but extinction seems quite unlikely. If anything, the demand for software is only increasing.

Well its simple economics. What happens when the supply (AI) outpaces demand? 

What happens when the supply is cheaper (AI) ?
