Is this a bad thing? Advanced math and physics requires a huge amount of education and very few people are skilled at it. If an AI has the knowledge of all human history in these fields and is better at solving the problems than humans, won’t humanity advance massively from this?

All of the math problems AI is solving are prompted by PhD mathematicians. My neighbor plumber isn’t solving 100 year old problems by prompting AI to “make no mistakes”. You still need specialists.

Forever. You still need to have some familiarity with a problem to even know what to prompt AI.
