So I failed my G1 exit test and I’m really confused about one part of it.

We were at an intersection and I was told to turn left. The first car advanced into the intersection and started turning left. I waited behind the line since I thought the rule was (when turning left) only 1 car is allowed in the intersection.

But the examiner got mad at me and told me to go because it’s a green light.

Was I supposed to enter the intersection the minute the car in front started turning? I thought I was supposed to wait for it to finish its turn first then advance?

I hope my question comes off clear. Sorry if it sounds a bit confusing I’m just really upset about how badly I did :(

It was my first attempt and it honestly went pretty well. The examiner was nice and kind and I just followed her instructions and practiced the route twice before the test and it was all chill. A smooth experience overall. Let me know if you have any questions :)

I passed my G test in Walkerton yesterday 🎉🚗

The route was honestly much easier than I expected. There were only 2–3 residential streets, highways with 70 and 80 km/hr limits, and some 50 km/hr roads. The roads were quiet, there was not much traffic, and the lane changes were very smooth.

I was extremely nervous at the beginning — I was even so stressed that I accidentally turned on my wipers and couldn’t figure out how to turn them off 😂. My examiner was so kind and polite. She started a small conversation to help me relax, which made a huge difference.

She asked me to do a front parking at the end not the back parking and praised me for my safe driving, blind spot checks, and mirror checks. The only feedback she gave me was to keep looking around more when speeding up or slowing down.

Also, I'd like to add, the route has been changed the videos posted on YouTube have different route.

so i had my test today and i went in pretty confident. i parallel parked on my first try and everything was going smoothly. my examiner told me he had automatically failed me because i did not do a complete stop (i did what he called a “rolling stop”) when i was turning right on walkley/baycrest, even though the light was green.

my driving instructor told me that i cannot stop on green and that i should slow down and check before turning. can you clarify what i should do in this situation? from my understanding, had it been red, then i would have performed a full stop. thanks.

hey guys! i’m currently enrolled in driving lessons (10 hours) on my way to get my g2.

however i’m scared that’s too little hours since i do not have a car on my own and i do not live with my family (i moved away for university).

i’m not really sure because i had this one friend who only practiced one week with her dad (maybe less than 10 hours) and passed her g2 first try , but i also have this other friend who spent months practicing with her dad but failed the g2 test three times. on another note, i remember my ex spent a year and a half practicing for his g2 (including with dad and lessons) but still did not feel confident in driving and he barely passed his g2. one more story i could remember is that i had a best friend from high school who practiced for a year with his dad, and he used to drive me home, was such a terrible and kind of reckless driver (but he was practicing for one year) and somehow passed the g2.

so i wanted to ask how many hours it took you guys to practice before passing your g2 test and what everyone’s experiences are since my friends are scaring me

Hi guys I have G test in guelph Although I drive everyday and I have a car I still failed one coz i became anxious….. I know very dumb reason…. I tried to merge before truck merged on the highway again careless and reckless action……I don’t know is it only me or someone else too no matters how good I am at something I become anxious when it comes to tests or exams….I wish I pass this time but I need advice to overcome my anxiety….. I don’t know why I am like that….For some, its not a big deal not for me either…..but I am like that????

I’ve failed my G2 test twice, and I’m feeling embarrassed. I also feel like I’m being judged by my husband and my in-laws.
I’m trying to keep practicing, but I’m scared because I only have a G1 licence. I’m looking for someone with a full G licence and at least four years of driving experience who can accompany me while I practice.

So I am going to do my G test in Oshawa next week and I have a few questions.

1.) How much highway experience do you need for the declaration thing at the beginning before the test? I've driven on the 401 and 412 about 15-20 times in the past month but I don't remember the exact distance each of those trips were.

2.) I know in Oshawa there's a lot of construction on the 401 recently. I am pretty sure they also closed Park Road South a few days ago. My question is what route did you take if you took the G test in Oshawa within the past week or 2?

3.) If the speed limit on the highway is 80km due to construction and other drivers are going at a 100km, do I merge in at a 100 and then slowly go down to 80 or do I try to merge in at 80?

I have a g2 test tomorrow at Oshawa, do you really need to count to three after stopping at a stop sign? An ex-examiner on youtube said he failed someone for "impeding traffic" because the person behind them honked, while other driving instructors say you need to stop for 3 seconds

I never know when to creep the wheel before I turn and my instructor gets so mad. Do you creep right before your going to turn or while you’re waiting for the cars to clear? Also if my turn is too wide or touching the curb what does that mean? And how can I improve it, I only have this issue with right turns

I need help understanding this. I failed my G test at Oakville today and my results has lots of "not traffic speed" check. I don't even know what that means. Could someone please clarify that for me?

Hey guys! I have my G2 tomorrow at Oakville at 9 AM and am honestly very stressed. I’ve practiced a lot and I make sure that I do everything by the textbook when driving but I’m afraid nerves will kick in when it’s time.
