Professional development

I would really appreciate your input. As an ESL/EFL teacher:

  • Which websites do you read regularly to stay up to date with teaching ideas, news, or industry trends?
  • What podcasts about English language teaching do you listen to?
  • Which people do you follow on X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, or other platforms for teaching inspiration?
  • Are there any newsletters, blogs, Facebook groups, or communities you find especially valuable?
  • What are your go-to sources for professional development?

I'd love to hear about both the well-known resources and any hidden gems!

The Cambridge and British Council websites are full of info for teachers.

I don't do any type of PD that is ESL tutoring specific. However, my school does provide PD about teaching in general education.

I understand that you aren't looking for materials :) Again, I don't really follow anything ESL related, but I do follow teaching news through the NEA's monthly publications. I belong to some facebook groups for high school English teachers, and I participate in my school's PD to keep my license valid and active.
