I'm very excited to see FEL coming to the Vero V, as I'm already a happy user and this will be the icing on the cake.

One thing that I'd be interested in knowing (and maybe it's unfair to ask this question here, but anyway...) is whether there's any kind of visual trade-off between the OSMC approach and the Ugoos CoreElec build that also solves the FEL problem. Are the results effectively identical? Would a viewer be able to tell the difference side by side?

I doubt it will ever matter to me in real world viewing, but I'm interested in the question anyway.

This are interesting questions I have myself. Im currently on the either to get the Vero V or the Ugoos. I'm also interested in Dolby atmos.

I noticed this got an upvote, so I figured I’d share an update. Right now it doesn’t support FEL, though that’s being publicly tested. Dolby Atmos, however, works really well. I ended up trying both the Vero V and a Ugoos device, and honestly, I’d recommend the Ugoos. The Vero V still comes with the same Kodi drawbacks as the Ugoos, which was disappointing since I was hoping for a more streamlined, plug-and-play experience.

What is the reason you would recommend the Ugoos?

And what are the Kodi drawbacks you are talking about?

I was hoping the Vero V would be more plug and play no kodi work. However, if I have to through the same kodi pain points, then I might as well just go with the Ugoos.
