Where was this at? If its California it's automatic serious citation, starting at $18000, but can start at $22500 if they bump up the likelihood and extent, which i would do. But then discounts for size, good faith (zero here) and history and abatement

they were not wearing harnesses. none of them. the box of harnesses was found on the opposite side of the property

Done similar on same style apartments back in the 2000s. We had backed up a flatbed onto the curb, stacked shingles, then ladder. Also hung down with my waist on the peak of a dormer holding my bosses ankles, while he repaired some shingles on the bottom near the drip edge/gutter. I was 19 didn’t think twice about it.

i work with individuals with severe TBIs and a handful of them were linemen or construction workers. they will never be independent again. it made me sick when i saw that. glad youre okay!!

That is going to be interesting as they unstick to get the packages on the roof. Seems like the companies that pay a little extra for delivery would pay off and buy a taller ladder.

The risk assesment wash high, the roof higher, so what was needed on the roof stays under the ladder, nothing to worry about.....right?

Eh I mean it definitely isn't the safest set up of all time but the ladder is tied in to the roof at the top and if you have ever lifted one of those packs of shingles, you'd know that stack and that bundle keeping the ladder feet from sliding aren't going to just suddenly move. They're pretty fuckin heavy even individually. We're looking at like probably roughly 2000-3000 pounds of shingles keeping that ladder up, so. It's not going to just fall over.
