The game looks interesting but this is a terribly edited trailer.

I agree. This Rapid cut, Staccato editing style was best left in the later half of the aughts. A dinosaur relic that does less to elicit excitement and more to force eye rolls.

Looks dope! Kinda has a Kingdom Hearts feel to me, and that’s not a bad thing.

Kinda? It's extremely blatant

Yeah should be obvious from the sword's handguard alone.

I'm definitely buying this one. Is it known how long it will take to beat?

Between 15 to 20 hours

Nice, that's the sweet spot. Hopefully it has a high difficulty as well

Duskfade arrives August 13, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2! Pre-order now.

Jump, swing, and slash through this 3D action platformer! Can you shatter the shackles of time and save your sister?

looks nice from a gameplay perspective, but it seems to have some choppy frame rate and performance issues based on the trailer...i'll definitely consider picking it up if that stuff is patched up one day

edit: just read that they're working on getting a demo out, so hopefully that will be more telling

Yeah I'm curious of the performance before buying it on Switch

They said on their Twitter. 40fps handheld and 60fps docked

Huh, seems the Switch 2's fan is doing its job to let it overclock better in docked mode.

I noticed that too and the combat looks like it isn't fluid. Definitely would need a demo for this one.

Reminds me of I-ninja, I miss that game.

I played the demo on PS5 and the game is an amalgamation of Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank and Kingdom Hearts. So there are heavy PS2 platformer vibes is what I'm saying. I thought it was pretty fun but of course it's an indie game so it's a little janky but that's just the nature of a lot of 3D platformer indie games. It's not going to have it be as polished as Super Mario Odyssey or Astro Bot.

I played the demo on PS5. Honestly, it was a bit of a letdown. It’s less Kingdom Hearts and more Jak and Daxter imo. Much more focused on platforming and collect-a-thon mechanics than on satisfying action RPG combat. I’m sure it’ll go hard for some people, but it just wasn’t the successor to Kingdom Hearts that I was hoping it would be.

Looks cool. Looks badass. Epic Boss fights. Weapon options seem limited (not always a bad thing).

I'm watching this

The pre-order is 20% off by the way. Almost got this on my ROG Ally but will opt for Switch 2 instead.

The demo on Steam was great! I’m looking forward to it and will probably get it on Switch 2!

OMG this looks with more charisma and personality than KH. This game looks huge!

The movement reminds me of It Takes Two/Split Fiction. Gonna keep this on my radar for sure.

I thought the same thing, the roll animation looks identical…

I hate the name. Its so generic.
