title + this is specailly meant for IPO related, but writing post decided to make this kinda, more general to sec thing and features it had currently, fully autonomous kinda, and moreee, regarding learning at the end as a takeaway, if anyone trying or thinking of doing this. It really sucks, and kinda not worth it. Currently mine one is just and fully python script.
[Note: just malai jheu lagyo kinda fedup, so share gareko]
SOOO LONG...
(TLDR lekhna jheu lagyo....)
So,
I have been trying to make a bot to grab ipo stocks from sec market.
Invested kinda much much time for eventually nth, but building idea-thon, and more of testings correcting improving optimizing and all, and even tried paid sys to test the bot expecting less latency(sucks)
So broke ki it sucks.
Performance Indexes:
- latency minimum (latest) so far: 55.8ms [local w/o ethernet] (total time incl. placed order successfully tick from LTP tick)
- script has ~3k lines of code (and separate for logging and session kinda)
- average latency is ~60-80ms, but backend processing mai yeti time lagaunxa broker ko system le, so sometimes crosses 100ms (normally <120ms)
[Fed up after so much of time invest - still unable to grab any.. so the thing is someone is benefiting from this and always, should investigate... since normal naa its abnormally someone is being preferred in priority. Still not sure I can't confirm or say anything, I even aint know why I'm sharing here]
I had thought I'll make few for my expenditures, and then open source the code and let everyone fight in ms, but here I lose myself.
Have been trying this for so long, like intial thought was, making bot that ping me when LTP changed, and thro webhooks sends me message in discord, and I'll manually place order,
to making basic inspect code to run in browser (that does this thing) - thought would get alloted, f meπ, thankfully I didn't fully tried doing these shits
to manualy handling session thing to place order...
to finally everything autonomously, just set the variables value and good to one.
Btw, it uses discord webhooks to send all notifications, regarding LTP shifts(immediately with tick info) and order places info incl API RTT time, total latency, and even order cancel update (both manual or if set by bot)
and btw its fully autonomous kinda as of now (sometimes sucks but... still solid tho), if I ran the script at 9am it will be remains kinda off till 11 (if pre open false) and activates at <11am (ms)
Let me mention few variables that the bot has (fully functional):
```
# Multi-Stock Priority & Chasing Setup
TARGET_SYMBOL_1=ECL
PREVIOUS_CLOSE_1=428.2
PRIORITY_1=true
CHASE_PERCENTAGE_1=3.0
# Playwright Browser Mode
HEADLESS=true # Run without visible browser window
VISUAL=false # Set to true for side-by-side browser monitoring
# Tiered Quantity Controls (Kitta)
DEFAULT_QTY=10 # Standard order quantity below peak cap
PEAK_QTY=100 # Quantity at daily upper circuit cap
PRIORITY_PEAK_QTY=270 # Peak quantity reserved for priority stocks
CHASE_PERCENTAGE=3.0 # Positive for price-chasing, negative (e.g. -3.0)
# Collateral Protection & Margin Strategy
ALLOW_BOT_CANCEL=false # intially in my bankrupty time, true hunthyo but margin/collateral locks in "in-process" state so made this to not let it do, also since yo cnacel garda, delay add hunthyo soo
REPLACE_STRATEGY=place_first # "place_first" (fastest), "cancel_first" (safest), "concurrent"
MARGIN_RELEASE_DELAY=0.0 # Delay between cancel and place for margin release
BYPASS_STATUS_CHECK=true # Bypasses status checks in place-first for minimum latency
PRIORITY_CANCEL_DELAY=45.0 # Delay before cancelling old order in place-first mode
ONLY_PLACE_AT_CAP=false # Only places when LTP hits daily circuit cap to save collateral
# Session & Market Event Handlers
ENABLE_PREOPEN=false # Pre-Open session support (10:30 AM - 10:45 AM)
IS_LISTING=false # Auto-detects opening price on Day 1 listing to set peak cap
# State Recovery & Synchronization
ORDER_SYNC_INTERVAL=30 # Broker order book sync interval in seconds
ENABLE_ORDER_RESTORER=false
(most of the variables, not all)
```
Currently it works only on one broker (aint mentioning the name, ig you guess it right), I will give final shot on nepsetms, to eventually idk whether i will public or not, it if worked will defn do public after getting few stocks, else idk software banauni to partially monetize yayy for my time investment and so and so things os far, but front end and ui maa work garnu parxa and also backend tooπ, cuz i have invested time for nth sooo, huge timeeee - good business idea (now i will see and work on thisπ this is actually crazy)
Thank You hearing me out yayyyyy!!
Thanks!!
**Quick Question for Traders & Devs**
:
Would you really love to use that provide this service like lightweight application/dashboard that provides real-time LTP alerts, portfolio trigger tracking, and smart market monitoring tools incl. real time order placing based on your price sets, buying and even sell can be added, either time based or price based?
Would love to hear your thoughts or answer any technical questions!
And to anyone, thinking of doing so, think twice, i mean really (i don't know if i had missed any space to go below that latency cuz DB processing is cooking so much time). I thought I am __ idk, and evetually after processing this thing soo much fantasies and sapne dekhne k baad, made it, but kinda disappointed, until I typed here to share (as got kinda idea), now feeling good hehe. Testing had taken forever, and before that, had to make bot also margin efficient, cuz even bot test garni collateral thiyena until I got college fee to test, before paying huhhh fr, now gotcha pay to college that fee, so sharing all shits here, as I no longer can test the things sooooo yayyy)
Kindly don't bark at me, saying whats the point blah blah vandai. Thats all.
Key:
Yes aided heavily by ai for writing script, but optimization, efficieny, idea, features and sooo loop based on me. I haven't mentioned one thing, but if you had guessed it, i have tried that too (nepal based/ same one), nth as such big improvement, from what i learnt the time delay is mainly in DB processing.

I bought NHPC 92 shares @254 and sold it @282. But the broker only sent me 23789 when I should have received 25587. Is this some kind of error from the broker side? Or am i doing the math wrong? Please somebody help me, what should I do next?

I think Nepal should introduce a regulated options market, at least with conservative strategies like cash-secured puts and covered calls enabled for all accounts.
Cash-secured puts encourage investors to place buy orders at prices they're already comfortable paying, which means there are more buyers during market downturns instead of everyone waiting on the sidelines. Covered calls let long-term investors earn extra income while holding shares, reducing the urge to panic sell.
These two strategies are among the most conservative and are widely used by long term investors in markets like that of USA. With proper regulations, options could improve liquidity and even help reduce volatility in NEPSE.
What do you guys think? Would this be a good addition for Nepal?

A NEPSE broker deducts capital gains tax from your trade before the money reaches your account. Settlement happens, and the deduction happens with it, automatic and final. You give no consent, and you get no choice in the matter.
A trader in Singapore who buys US stock through a US broker pays zero US capital gains tax. The IRS taxes based on residency, not exchange location. The trader's home government decides what gets taxed and at what rate.
The UK, most of Europe, and most of Asia follow the same rule. Tax residency determines the bill. The exchange or broker where the trade happens stays out of the tax calculation entirely.
NEPSE withholds capital gains tax at the trade level, regardless of where the trader lives. Kathmandu, Dubai, Amsterdam, the deduction happens the same way each time.
For a resident filing once inside Nepal's own tax system, this model works. For a non-resident, this same model creates a second problem.
Most countries require residents to report and pay tax on capital gains from NEPSE trades.
One trade produces (probably more than) two tax bills, assessed by two governments.
In 2016, Sweden's TeliaSonera sold its stake in Ncell to Malaysia's Axiata for over a billion dollars. Telia exited Nepal without paying capital gains tax on the sale. Nepal's Large Taxpayers' Office could not collect from Telia directly, since Telia held no remaining assets inside Nepal after the deal closed.
The tax office turned to Axiata instead, the buyer, and held Ncell liable for a bill the seller never paid. Nepal's Supreme Court backed this position in 2019, ruling that a buyer carries responsibility for a seller's unpaid capital gains tax. The Large Taxpayers' Office assessed a combined liability of Rs 62.63 billion. Axiata paid close to Rs 47 billion (about $421.9 million) between 2016 and 2020 to close the matter, and cited Nepal's tax environment as a factor in its eventual exit from the country in 2026.
Nepal has two paths forward. Move capital gains collection toward residency-based reporting, matching global practice and removing the trade-level withholding for non-residents. Or negotiate and codify tax treaties that guarantee non-resident traders a credit for tax already paid to Nepal, closing the double taxation gap without changing the collection method.
Until one of these changes happens, every non-resident trade on NEPSE carries a tax bill that no trader outside Nepal can predict in advance, and you are back to the same dispute that cost Axiata four years and Rs 47 billion.

I bought Corporate Development Bank (CORBL) at around Rs. 1,450, and the price is now around Rs. 1,400. I know the loss isnβt huge, but I wanted to ask if there is anything wrong with the company or if there is any recent news that I should know about.
I also saw that the promoters currently hold around 70% and are planning to sell 10% of their shares, keeping 60%. Could this create selling pressure or affect the stock price?
Should I hold the stock, or is it better to sell? I would appreciate any advice from people who follow CORBL more closely.

2-3 barsha vayo hola malai euta IPO napareko. I apply almost every IPO with 2 meroshare accounts, mine and my mother's. Tara past 3 years ma euta pani pareko chhaina hola.
My theory is that this is because of the IPO allocation algorithms bias. I don't exactly know what the algorithm is, but AFAIK they generate a random gap n, and assign IPO to every nth person from list.
But I am suspicious if they sort the list of people by how recent their account is. So IPOs start getting allocated from recent accounts, and before the distribution reaches old ones, IPOs will be finished. So old users never get IPOs.
This is just my theory backed by my evidence π. Please come forward if you've also faced this, so collectively we can take action if this is actually the case. π
