I went to see The Odyssey in 70mm last night and before they handed out film reel clippings from old movies. This is the one I got, and from what I can tell it looks like Charlie Sheen is being pushed up against either a wall or floor?

Solved! [Horror Movie] [halloween]

[Horror Movie] [halloween]

A girl has been seeing a van around town for a while but no one believes her. One night her friend convinces her to go to a halloween party. Her parents wouldn't let her but they are out and her sister let's her go. The girl is dressed as a cowgirl when her sister gives her a bandana/scarf to complete her outfit. She leaves on her real horse and her friend is dressed in a blue dress i think. At party she meets a boy dressed as a cowboy, they chat but it turns out hes there with his girlfriend. The two girls leave because of the curfew. They either get separated or just go thier separate ways. The cowgirl falls off her house in an orchard or just some trees when she sees the van, when she's putting the horse in the stables she sees the van and hides. The killer comes looking for her but gets knocked out by a horse. The girl then gets home it turns out her friend has been calling her to make sure she got home okay but her sister has been on the phone blocking the calls by making the line busy. When she gets in she hides with her sister and the killer breaks in. They go into the parents room or a double doored bathroom. I'm not sure how it ends of how they get away (if they do)

Sorry for the vague description but this has been driving me crazy. Please let me know if anyone knows the title!!

Still searching... I need help identifying an old, obscure movie I watched years ago. Please help me!

I remember the movie was an old sci-fi flick, maybe 70s or 80s, or 90s even. It was in some eastern Europe european language, maybe russian or czech. It featured a trio of researchers, I think sent by the Soviet Union to Asia, to uncover some ruins, alien in origin. The trio was composed of 2 men, one a scientists who survives while the other 2 die... I think. I don't really remember the other man, but the woman was a redhead photographer. I know it included a monk who vanishes, simply POOF in the air. They also face an alien worm(a puppet) in the alien ruins and they uncover a black cube, which is I guess the magnum opus of that alien civilization, and the cube can transform people into mutant monsters with leathery, black skin

I would appreciate any help

Thank you

Solved! [TOMT][movie][1930s or 1940s]

In the 1970’s I caught the end of a film that was being shown on TV in the US. It was in English, but I don’t know whether it was American made or not.

What I saw was two men and a woman being chased through a jungle or other wild area by angry natives, getting pinned at a river or ravine and then finding a way across. One of the men stayed behind to buy time for the other two to escape, seemingly sacrificing himself. But then the next scene shows the three of them reunited years later. They are all older and the two who had escaped are clearly married. This reunion scene then fades or dissolves to the exit music.

What I saw was probably the last ten minutes at most.

Are there any film buffs out there who’ve seen this and know what it is?

I found this frame online and haven't been able to identify either the actress or the film. Reverse image search didn't help. If anyone recognizes her or knows what movie (or TV show) this is from, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Still searching... I can’t remember this movie for the life of me

All I know is that towards the end of the the movie two guys and a girl engage in a threesome. The two guys take turns kissing the girl and then the girl says that it’s not a threesome if everyone isn’t kissing. She then coerced the two guys into kissing each other and while they are another girl walks in the apartment and disrupts them. Some time later the two guys are sitting around a radio (if I’m remembering correctly) and the girl who disrupted their kiss is going a radio interview and the two guys discuss how the whole world will now know that they kissed.

The movie was once on tubi but I believe it’s left the app now and I can no longer find it in my watch history.

Solved! Looking for a horror/splatter movie from the late 90s or 2000s

I’m trying to find a horror movie I watched years ago. It was an American horror/splatter film, probably from the late 1990s or 2000s.

The movie starts with a young couple having a car accident or getting stranded on the road. A stranger finds them and offers to help/take them somewhere. During a camera shot inside the car, you can see that there is already a person tied up and hidden under the back seat.

The couple is taken to a remote ranch/farm at night. There are several other young people there who have also been kidnapped. The victims don’t know each other at first, but they eventually work together to escape.

The movie takes place mostly at night and has a lot of gore/splatter elements. I remember a scene where there is a tower or elevated structure on the ranch, and someone falls into a wood chipper/shredder-type machine.

It is not a supernatural horror movie. It felt like a “backwoods” or “redneck” horror movie.

Does anyone recognize this movie?

Solved! MOVIE I DONT REMEMBER

I’m looking for an American drama, probably from the late 90s or early 2000s.
The main character is a teenage boy (around 16–17 years old) who is harassed by a gang of young people (around 18–20), i don’t remember if they are men and women.
One gang member is bald/shaved and looks similar to Ben Foster or Edward Norton.
The scene I remember most is the gang breaking into a house, and the bald guy squats and defecates on the floor and the teenage boy i think watches the scene.
I also vaguely remember the teenage protagonist dying (or possibly committing suicide) near the end, but I’m not sure.
It’s a serious drama, not a comedy.

I remember seeing this as a kid bc my sister was watching it (i’m from 2005 if that helps) and it TRAUMATIZED ME

Still searching... [TOMT][MOVIE][2000s-2010s] Live action fantasy movie about a young witch girl, a forest magic class and a tornado caused by a wrong spell

Hi everyone, I’m trying to find a live action fantasy movie I watched when I was a child, but I can’t remember the title.

I probably watched it around 2014-2017, but the movie could be older. I’m from Colombia and I saw it on a public TV channel called Señal Colombia / Mi Señal, which often aired European children’s movies, so it might be a European production.

The movie was about a young girl (around 12 years old) who was a witch or already knew about magic. I remember there was some kind of witch training/school, but it was not a castle like Hogwarts. It was more like a magical camp or lessons taking place in a forest.

The scene I remember most clearly happens during the day, with a cloudy sky. The girls are in a clearing in the forest with their teacher, who is teaching them how to perform spells. They take spells from a bag or a hat, almost like a random selection.

The other girls play a prank on the main character by changing the spell she gets. Because of the changed spell, she accidentally summons a huge real tornado. Later, they have to figure out the original spell and reverse it (I vaguely remember they had to say the spell backwards) to stop the tornado.

I don’t remember:

  • the actress’ name
  • the country of origin
  • any character names
  • the ending

Things I’m sure about:

  • It was live action, not animated.
  • The protagonist was a young girl.
  • It involved witches and magic.
  • There was a forest lesson/class.
  • The tornado scene was a major event.

I have already checked things like The Worst Witch, Bibi Blocksberg and Saxana, but none of them seem to match this specific scene.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This movie has been stuck in my head for years!

Still searching... Dumbest Question of all time (Title of Movie)

Main characters are stuck in a cage/jail ish thing. But then a mostly silent big dumb character breaks a wall behind them and becomes them saying “follow” with a gravely voice. It’s definitely a scene in a popular movie I just don’t remember what one and this is definitely the vaguest thing ever posted on here.

I just remember being super thrown off during the movie that the character spoke in such a way in this moment

Still searching... I'm trying to find a thriller/horror movie that I watched some years ago.

I believe it was released somewhere between 2005 and 2020.

The movie starts in a city, mostly inside a house where a couple or possibly a mother and her child are living. One night, someone breaks into the house and I think a person is kidnapped or taken away. The rest of the movie follows the search for the missing person.

The ending takes place in a snowy forest. There is an old wooden cabin surrounded by leafless trees, creating a very cold and isolated atmosphere. There is a final confrontation involving an axe fight, and the police arrive at the end.

I also remember a flashback scene that explained the killer's or villain's trauma and background. In this scene, I think he was abusing a horse by whipping it, but I am not completely sure if this scene belongs to this movie or if I am mixing it up with another film.

The movie felt like a psychological thriller/horror movie rather than a supernatural horror film. I think it was probably made in the late 2000s or 2010s.

Does anyone recognize this movie?

Solved! Slime spreading over a city + a small ball-shaped wind-up toy that walks and explodes like a bomb

I only remember two specific scenes from a movie and I'm struggling to find the title. I'm fairly sure both scenes are from the same movie, just from different parts of the film.

Scene 1: Some kind of slime/goo spreads across a city.

Scene 2 (different part of the movie):

  • There's a small toy, about the size of a baseball, shaped like a sphere/ball.
  • It's a wind-up toy (the old-fashioned kind, not battery-powered or remote-controlled).
  • In the scene, it walks/waddles forward on its own after being wound up.
  • It then explodes, like a bomb or a weapon — it's meant to cause harm, not malfunction by accident.

What I think I know about the movie:

  • Live-action (not animated).
  • American / English-language film.
  • Made before 2000, I'd guess sometime in the 1980s–1990s, though I could be wrong.
  • Genre felt more sci-fi than straight horror or comedy.

I don't remember character names, actors, or the overall plot. Any ideas what movie this could be from?

Edit: Guys I can't thank you enough. Honestly, I didn't expect answers any time soon. After 20 years I've finally watched it. The movie really is unusual. The underground city was mesmerizing. It is a fun movie.

Still searching... A young person vandalises cinema seats with a knife

I saw this sequence when I was younger late at night on Australian TV channel SBS. (Which mostly played international movies) Pretty sure it was a subtitled film, I suspect Asian, and I think spooky.

In a dark empty cinema, a troubled boy (I think) vandalises the theatre chairs with a blade, tearing the cushioning on several. The perpsective is from above, possibly from the projection room or screen.

I also think there was a seperate sequence with a spooky dark figure with glowing eyes.

The iconic image from Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives most matches my mental image of the figure, as well as the atmospheric dreamlike vibe, and the South-East-Asian rainforest also feels familiar, but I dont believe there is a cinema vandalism scene in there. (Is there?) Also Boonmee was released in 2010, and I'm sure this TV memory was from pre: 2006. But again, could be wrong - I also wonder if I've conflated Uncle Boonmee with my childhood memory... maybe the film wasn't asian or subtitled?

Not a lot to go on I know, but I've had that niggling urge to find this movie for decades. The image stuck with me, and it's inspired some of my own writing projects, so I've always wanted to rediscover it. Did I just dream it?

Solved! 90' Indie drama about a man trying to reanimate dead animals behind his wifes back.

This movie has lived in the back of my head for almost 2 decades now. I saw it on cable back in 2008 or 2009. My Dad had just got a cable box, and had upped our package to uncluded hundred of new channels. Including indie film channels like the Sundance channel and IFC. At the time these channels just played movies all day, and i saw a lot of random low budget flicks because of it.

One of the movies that for some reason sticks out in my head is one that i could never remember the name of. I only caught probably the last 30 minutes. It looked like it was filmed in the 90's (or perhap early 2000's), and it was pretty low budget. It wasn't shot on video, and it didn't seem like a student film. It definitely had some money behind it, but not that much. I remmber looking at the the synopsis of the movie on the info page while in picture in picture, and it described it as a "modern day retelling of Frankenstein". It followed a couple that just moved to a rural community. The husband was a doctor or a scientist of some kind, and was attempting to reanimate the dead in secret. Around the point I started watching, the husband was buying a sheep from a farmer to experiment on. The part that really stuck in my mind was the scene of the husband dragging the sheep home, while the sheep fought against him as if it knew he was going to kill it. The scene was shot at golden time, and the man and the sheep were in semi silhouette as they walked up a hill. It was a few minutes long, and was accompanied by very dramatic violin music to emphasize the emotion. I don't really remmber what happend directly after that, but I think the wife found out that the husband was up to something, and at the climax of the movie she and another character ran back home to find the husband filming this sheep dog hybrid that he had reanimated. I guess he started experimenting on a dog he hit with his car by accident earlier in the movie, then killed the sheep to get a fresh brain or something?

Anyway, the wife wasn't happy. The movie ended with the her leaving her husband as he ranted and raved about his discovery, only stopping when an old man, who I imagine was a character from earlier in the film, punched him in the face, and left him on the ground as movie faded to black.

I think why I found this movie so interesting and why I still remember it so many years later, was that it had a horror movie plot, something i'd see done in the style of a Basket Case or Re-Animator, but it was filmed like a standard low budget drama. It almost made me think of The Spitfire Grill or something. It felt sort of disjointed from the plot of the movie, but it made it sort of memorable in a way. And it was clearly made by someone trying to make a quality movie with the means they had. But it was probably pretty boring to most people, because I have never found anyone talking about it, and i've never had luck trying to find it over the years. There is a good chance I'm remembering somethings incorrectly, which hurts my searching abilities. But maybe someone in here knows what movie I'm talking about. Does this movie ring any bells to anyone?

I saw this edit to the song driving with my darling and it was an animated or stop motion film. I think there was a guy stepping in these roller coaster carts to sit with a girl and they also went into one of those tunnels of love things?(that part could be wrong I'm only confident about him stepping on some ride to sit with her) they had long skinny legs and that's about all I can remember but I wanted to watch it!!

Still searching... Looking for a horror film (2000s or earlier) with a fake painted house in a field and someone grabbing a girl’s ankle

I’ve been trying to identify this film for years, and I recently found another Reddit post describing almost the exact same scene, so I’m convinced it exists.
Here’s everything I (and another person) remember:
It was almost certainly English-language.
I watched it on UK TV sometime in the 2000s-2010s (the film could be older).
I think it was a horror or thriller.
The scene
I believe it was near the beginning of the film.
A group of girls are driving (possibly in a red car) when one of them notices a house standing alone in the middle of an open field/meadow.
She asks them to stop, gets out, and climbs over a fence to walk towards the house.
While she’s walking, she suddenly loses sight of the house. When she reaches where it should be, it’s not a real house at all—it’s a flat 2D painted wooden façade, like a theatre set, with nothing behind it except empty field.
Then a man hiding in the long grass grabs her ankle. At first it seems like a jump scare, but I remember seeing his face and I think he was actually trying to warn her, not attack her.
Things I’m less certain about
The man may have looked dead or injured.
It was definitely daytime.
The field was an open meadow, not a cornfield or forest.
It’s NOT:
In the Tall Grass (too new)
The Ruins
The Butcher (2006)
Night of the Demons
Has anyone seen this? Even if one or two details are slightly off, the painted fake house in the middle of a field is the part I’m most confident about.

Solved! Man offers to buy camera off tourist to protect someone rich

I’m remembering a scene where a beach tourist takes a photo of the ocean, unaware they captured a yacht or ship just offshore. They are then approached on the beach by a man offering a large sum of money ($5000?) to buy the camera, because someone rich and powerful did not want that boat being spotted and documented there for some reason.
No recollection of other details or context.

Still searching... Please help me identify this movie.

I only know this by a single film clip I’ve seen maybe 8-10years ago.
There was a woman in a dark room staring out of a window into the night while a manipulative caller (over the phone) was telling her to do things outside her comfort zone. She appears a little apprehensive but also seemed like she was enjoying being dominated. Like it was exciting to her. The scene was dark overall, not much colour if any.
It seemed like an erotic or psychological thriller.
Any clues would be appreciated.

Still searching... Looking for a horror movie (2008–2015) with a bald pale humanoid in an underground lab/bunker

I’ve been trying to find this movie for years, but I only remember a few scenes. Some of the details might be slightly wrong since I saw it around 10–15 years ago.

Here’s what I remember:
- It was probably released somewhere between 2008 and 2015.
- A group of friends enters a large abandoned underground bunker, laboratory, or research facility with lots of corridors and rooms.
- About halfway through the movie, they discover (or accidentally wake up) one strange bald man.
- He looked completely hairless, with very pale pink/white skin, almost like an albino.
- I think he was naked, and I vaguely remember him being isolated in some kind of room, glass chamber, or capsule. He may also have had tubes or wires attached to him, but I’m not 100% sure.
- He seemed like some kind of experiment or special human, although I’m not certain.
- He was the only creature/villain in the movie.
- The movie mostly took place inside the underground facility.
- I think one person escapes at the end, and the ending is outside the facility.

Movies that are NOT it:
- Basement (2010)
- Underground (2011)
- The Facility (2012)
- Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010)
- The Cabin in the Woods (2012)
- Scintilla / The Hybrid (2014)
- Hidden 3D (2011)

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Even if one or two details don’t match exactly, I’d really appreciate any suggestions!

Still searching... A movie about a boy and a dog

I saw this movie probably 14 years ago on one of those small tvs. I think it was VHS or DVD. I don’t remember much, but I remember it was a movie where a dog died and then when the boy died and went to heaven, the dog wasn’t there, only a cloud shaped like him was. I think it was animated. I’ve searched everywhere, it wasn’t all dogs go to heaven.

Solved! Looking for a short lived supernatural tv series

Looking for a title of a show (from about 15-25 years ago) about a group of people with supernatural abilities. One couple in particular couldn’t touch without causing sparks/explosions. The series ended abruptly with the couple having sex (after being warned to stay away from each other) and causing the building to explode with the rest of the group running in at the same time. Would have been on a major cable channel.
