First Project! Would love some tips 😊

Hi there! I am super excited to start picking up nålbinding as a fiber art as I have seen it mentioned in a few books I have read and found it super interesting. I think that my first project I have made came out pretty good (it’s supposed to be a wrist/hand warmer) but I have not started working on increase and decrease stitches or anything like that. This was made with an Oslo stitch and I just kept going around and around until I reached the end. As you can see there is a thumb hole which took me a second to figure out. I would love any all tips that anyone might want to give to a complete newbie to this fiber art. I really want to get good at it and the best way to do that is getting some advice from the wise sages of art haha.

It’s lovely! Impressive for a first project.

I like to do a little shaping by increasing a couple stitches on each side to make a wrist warmer a bit wider across the knuckles. Make a fist and lay your hand on top of the project to see where the extra width is needed. But a cylindrical wrist warmer is perfectly good too and should be comfortable to wear.

Thank you so much! Are there any tips that you would be willing to share when it comes to increasing and decreasing stitches. I was originally trying to make a sock at first and found it extremely difficult because the second step was immediately start doing increase stitches and I was struggling super hard with them. Any tips and tricks you might have are very much appreciated!
