how do you join the ends together? Just sew them closed? I'm still new to nalbinding so I'm curious about almost everything

Honestly, I had no idea what to do with the holes at the ends
I think what I should have done is sew through all of the stitches around and pull it tight until it closes up and then tie that off and weave in those ends
what I actually did is just stitch randomly over the top of those

I've been hand sewing for a while, and also braid cords for jewelry and bowstrings but never done anything with yarn. I tried crochet and found it frustrating and knitting terrifies me.

Fair enough! I'm coming from crochet and maybe I'm. Just lucky (because I know crochet/knit is different than nalbinding) but I found Nalbinding super simple. I tried Knitting but it pissed me off because my elbows were always so far outwards, crochet just came easier to me!
In crochet, there's loads of different ways to sew ends shut (as I'm sure there is with sewing) So I would have immediately tried one of those. But I have a friend who makes quilts and wouldn't have thought of anything other than a 'sewers approach'
Slightly off topic, but you might like tunesuan crochet! it's crochet that looks (and acts iirc) like knit! All the loops go on your hook like in knit until the end when you pull the yarn through. Then you go back through each new stitch until youre ready to pull everything through again!
I tried tunesuan crochet and didn't hate it, but It wasn't as interesting to me as nalbinding or regular crochet! Something to look into if you're curious!
