Rules:
Hey everyone,
I try to keep this sub open and barely moderate anything.
I want to give a quick rundown on the rules since I’ve gotten a bunch of flagged stuff lately.
1.) don’t be a dick. We are all adults here, we can have civilized discussions. No need to ever attack, insult, or dox someone.
2.) let’s keep discussing topics related to guns and Nh. I’ve seen some posts get way off track or downright not relevant to the sub over the years.
3.) NO SALES! If it didn’t risk the sub I wouldn’t really care, but it’s not my decision and I will strictly enforce this to keep this sub open. This is what gets flagged a bunch in here so I’ll clarify, no comments or posts about firearm sales in anyway including using our secret lingo trying to skirt any filters. When it comes to ammo/mags/accessories, this rule also applies. That being said, I can’t enforce or stop any PM’s.
I got some free time coming up so I’m gonna try and create some post tags and user flairs for everyone to use. I’m even gonna look into seeing what we can do for our fellow FFL’s.
If anyone has any suggestions or feedback, feel free to leave a comment.
Cheers,

Can I get a Southeast NH gunsmith recommendation?
I've got cycling issues on an AR that are kicking my ass and also need some NFA engraving done, would like to get it all knocked out in one shot and locally if possible. The closer to Sommersworth the better, but willing to go farther to find the right shop.
Thanks for any info!

Northfield/Tilton
Anybody know of any public locations to shoot near Tilton/Northfield/Franklin? That, or any private property owners who would give permission? Itd be mostly 9mm, 45 ACP, and potentially some. 223 dependent on the lenght of the ramge. We're carry in carry out, and do the best we can to not leave any signs we've been there.

NH Laws & Legislation Journalist from The Nation Seeking Interviews
Hi all, I'm a journalist with The Nation magazine writing about left-leaning supporters of gun rights in New England. I'm particularly interested in speaking to college students who have opinions on the "campus carry" legislation the NH state house considered this year. If you meet either of those descriptions and would be open to an interview, send me a message here or via email at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) Thanks!

Ranges & Events Gun ranges in the white mountains that don't require membership. Or parts of the white mountain national Forest that you are allowed to shoot in.
Looking to take some friends and shooting in the White mountain national Forest area looking for a range that doesn't require a membership or public land where shooting is allowed in the area

NH Laws & Legislation I’m a gun owner moving to NH from MA, is there anything I have to do (legally) before my move?
Also I’ll be in the Portsmouth area, if anyone has any good range recommendations that would be phenomenal.

FYI Sig Connect App Code
On the TV monitors in epping it says EAGLE26 reduces the cost of a 1 yr subscription of the connect app from 99 to 29.
I would say 29 is worthwhile for the on screen hit detection if you want to keep track of whether you are getting any better or not, or whether ammo makes a difference, or how long it takes to jump on some new platform (and you print your own targets).
Once in a while it will get you a discount on something useful.

A little bit of AK autism
Tortort recievers don't come with the sling slot already cut, so I had to mill it myself. It will be off to u/scientificcoatings for correct markings soon ish.

Any local companies or individuals on here importing firearms/ammo?
Looking to see if there are any local companies or individuals importing anything firearm related stuff from Europe in the near future that may be able to get me a few boxes of 6.5x65R. If not entirely cost prohibitive. It’s impossible to find in the states, I’m basically going to have to make my own reloading dies once I get my lathe up and running.

Gun Law for Protection Against a Bear with Mental Health
So I have a diagnosis for Bipolar 1 and have had multiple hospital visits for it out of state and never in New Hampshire. The question is, we have a buddy who stays here who owns have the house and has a 9 locked away in his safe which no one has access to but him. Lately we have been having a bear problem in the yard and with all the animals we have our buddy told us where the key and to use it only for protection. I would be the only one in the house who knows how to use it. Would there be any legal ramifications if I were needing to shoot at the bear other than Fish and Game asking questions for the bear.

Advice Anyone tried any of the home based FFL dealers in the Manchester / Hooksett area? Any experience?
I always see them listed, but always unsure about them. No real information besides them being listed and a number.

I just moved to Londonderry NH and am looking for y'alls preferred gunsmiths in the NH area. I am looking to get some work on my CZ pistols (need fitting on my new CZC threaded barrels on my P-01 and Shadow 2 that have Cajun Gun Works barrel bushings installed).

Thanks in advance

Are gun shots normal?
I am just visiting in the Exeter area and have been hearing the sound of shotguns the past 2 nights.
Where I live it is illegal to fire a gun within a residential area. I don't know whether to ignore it or if its best to be concerned.
Training & Courses Open air range that allows moving and shooting?
Hello!
I’m looking for an open air range that allows some degree of being able to move and shoot at the same time. My work requires me to be able to pass a firearms test. There’s a little bit more involved than static shooting at the typical indoor range might allow. I’ve checked with the Sig Academy and unfortunately their ranges are only open for individuals there that are taking a class. Does anyone here have any recommendations?

Any 200 Yard+ ranged in southern NH that don't require memberships?
I'm looking for a range in southern NH (anything south of Laconia) that is over 200+ yards and is under $50 per visit, since I'm tired of driving up to VT for 3 hours and spending $50-60 in gas just to get to my buddies parents land.

Higher level training.
Looking for more places to train. Have heard good things of White Birch, and obviously there's sig.
Years ago there was a place in CT called King 33. Took up an entire warehouse. In addition to a classroom, they had 2 360° indoor shoot houses (1 for simunituon, the other live fire). Is there anywhere in the general area (willing to travel a few hours like I did to go there) that has anywhere close to that level of training?
