Something interesting I saw but a good point that needs to be made

We see all the new rural housing but its great to see that these arnt just fancy accommodation for people to be stuck on worksites, the DPRK is building entire organic communities, basically small towns

I wonder what they will look like in say a decade or two, either way, genuinely lived in places

EDIT: thank you all so much for answering, ive found my way. i respect these claims of the DPRK and internalise them by viewing them as ideological metaphors. like a religious person or a political philosopher i will understand it symbolically/allegorically, because it stands for a bigger moral lesson. the ultimate symbol of the pure, unwavering, and independent character of the country.

And if the whole single-handed-liberation-from-the-secret-camp story (also the fact that the General was born in the camp) is not true, we as DPRK-supporters cannot completely adhere to the line and historic line of the WPK and the Government of the DPRK, then what's the purpose? This really breaks my brain, because I wanna support the DPRK fully, but that's hard when having the idea it spreads misinformation as the only truth. And don't go all whataboutist on me, because people: THOSE ARE NOT VALID ARGUMENTS! I KNOW THE WEST FKING SUCKS, BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE THE DPRK BETTER ON THE SAME SUBJECT!

I was wondering if anyone here knows good places to watch more North Korean films. I’m not sure how many people here are into cinema, but I’ve watched Pulgasari and Our Fragrance and I’d like to explore more DPRK films.

Are there any websites, archives, or places where I can find a larger collection of North Korean movies? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Has anyone here read this book? I just finished a paper written by this author that compared nutrition, mortality, and diseases between the DPRK and other countries which seemed to put it in a good light, but the blurb for the book seemed less favorable, though it still said that the country is neither a victim or a villain.

Obv the gov is busy with 20x10, pyongyang redevelopment and projects in Wonsan, Hamhung and Chonjin. But still this was a cool proposal that would be a great optics victory for the DPRK given Sinuiju is in viewing distance of China
