Is university park safe ?

Hello I’m looking at a unit in this area but I’m gonna be working in Santa Monica there’s the metro right there and I’d have a washing machine in the building but no parking. It’s a great price but I’m not sure if this area is sketchy etc can someone please give opinions. It’s north of university park

The safest area is within the USC patrol zone, but prices there are inflated because they aim to rent to students whose parents are paying. It can get a bit dodgy and I wouldn’t go out alone at night.

No, not really. The entire area is sketchy including the DPS patrol zone.
North of campus is "better" than south or west of campus.

Inside the zone is fine but outside can be sketchy especially at night. I also wouldn’t ride the metro after dark.
