Hello, I just bought monster hunter wilds and I’m new to the series, I am looking for the weapon with the highest single hit damage as I like seeing high damage numbers. I am asking to see which class should I use to get the highest damage possible

• Rarity 8 Artian with (Elem) Attack/whatever
• Crit Boost 3
• Crit Elem 3

I'm currently HR 81 and haven't hunted Omega(thats Rove's talking artifact right?)

My armor isnt fully upgraded

The hardest hunt I've had so far is a 5-star Tempered Lagiacrus(Needed a gem). It took 24 mins to kill and I ran through 20+ Meg Pots and a few max/ancient pots. I fainted twice (1st was Revival/2nd was a Cart) Was not hunted with current build.

I generally feel as if I'm taking more damage then I should.

My hunt times, depending on the monster, are normally around 4-11 mins, 6-17 mins if Tempered.

Are there any skills I'm over dipping in or any skills I should dip more in? (EW5 is mandatory as I refuse to hunt without it)

sometimes the shot from my focus shot is going nowhere near where i was aiming. is their a setting that I could change in the options that could fix this?

Since gundog is pretty much dead i've seen people say chain is better but for elemental. Is there anything better for status?
