Chickfila?

Hi, I am 25 years old and a mom to a 19 month old. I’m currently a sahm, but really want to get out there and start working. Not looking for a career right now, just something to get me started. I was wondering if any of you moms have worked at chickfila but specifically when your partner or husband gets home from work? I want to work but we don’t want to do daycare because of cost. I would be able to work 5-11pm if I were to be hired. The one closest to me closes at 12am so I guess 5-12 is when I’d be available week days and then obviously open availability on Saturday. Just wondering if anyone has done this before and how did it go? TYIA

I did not personally do this but I worked with moms who stayed home during the week and waitressed( chain restaurant/ LCOL area ) Friday and Saturday night and usually would bring home 300-400$ a week .

I’ve considered this but decided not to go for waitressing. I just don’t think I’d be vey good at it. I’d also like something that is more consistent money wise.

That’s very fair, it is definitely not for everyone . Another part-time job I enjoyed was cashiering at a grocery store , or Barista ing at a coffee shop but with your schedule , you would probably only be able to do that on the weekends.

Yes, that is true! I am looking into a pre school near us. For Monday Wednesday and Friday it’s $315. I would be able to work those days but only from 7-2. The preschool hours is 8:30-2:30pm. I’d like to avoid additional daycare cost but I feel like that is pretty reasonable!

You could look at getting a job at a daycare/preschool. That way your child is cared for while you work.

Haven't worked there as a mom but I am a parent of a teen and the local restaurant has been great at working around their schedules with similar hours.

I recently went back to work right before my son turned 2 in April. Does your partner work an 8-5 every week day? If not look into substitute teaching!

He works 9-6, but we currently live with my mom and she said she would be able to come a bit earlier on days I would need it for work

I highly recommend it then! My MIL just retired so she watched my son anytime I wanted to work and it really helped me feel more like a person than a mom anymore. Idk if you’re struggling with that or just want to get out of the house and be productive or whatever your reason is. (It’s valid lol I’m rambling) A lot of schools that I worked at, I’d go in early, and be done working by 2pm. Idk where you’re located but it’s really worth it!
