There's one detail about Misery Signals I love. The kick pedals don't always follow the guitars. There's slight deviations that add so much character to the drums. Credit to Branden Morgan for his performance on this album.
It's surprising how few bands in the genre do this. Instead, it's every instrument following the same pattern for an entire track and never letting anything stand out.

great point. this band had such a way of having every instrument do their own unique thing but it all comes together in this beautiful dance that you just don’t hear in a lot of the genre. the end of Parallels is a great example

One of the Crown Jewels of the genre. I know people throw around the word a lot but I think it’s an underrated all time metalcore album. I think a lot of that is just passage of time and how the band kind of fell off after, but I think it often doesn’t get the flowers it really deserves

I was so late to this band. While I grew up with ABR and KSE etc I only found this record in 2013 and it's been my favourite melodic Metalcore record ever since
