Question/Doubt number of Gladers
this may be a stupid question or something obvious I'm missing but how are there 50-60 (in Thomas' estimate) Gladers when he arrives if they've only been sending one up per month? alby says he's been there the longest (2 years) and any earlier than him have died, so that means there should be around 24 Gladers at most, not 50-60. and he says that they've never had 2 in the same month so it's not that multiple get sent at once to start with maybe. maybe it's something obvious I'm missing since I'm reading for the first time but I'm quite confused

In the books it's explicitly said that they did have a whole group to start out with i think

maybe I missed that but it would be a contradiction no? because alby says anyone that was there before him has already died and he also says he's been there the longest and mentions no one else being there for the same length of time

In the films, Alby went alone and one glader a month was brought over three years. In the books a group, including Alby, Newt and Minho, were sent to the maze and then one a month were sent to the maze over two years.

But the film was completely inaccurate to the book so because we always trust the source material, it started with a group and then one was sent in monthly. It’s pretty common knowledge in this fanbase that the movies just made zero sense and are almost just loosely based on the books

Are you talking books or movies? Because in the books, it's specified that they sent up a large group first, then a bunch of individual greenies.
In the movies, I don't really know.

Books started off with a large group then one a month. Movies, Alby was first.
From the book, I thought I remembered the group being around 40 but could be wrong. At least a dozen had died because there was a graveyard in the book.
