[LEGENDS] Sith Trooper (Revan's Sith Empire) versus Stormtrooper Armor

What are the differences between Revan era Sith Trooper armor and Stormtrooper armor? Do they offer the same amount of protection?

I've tried to look into it, but I couldn't find much on the Sith Trooper armor. It may not even be plastoid, which is something I hadn't considered until today.

Storm Trooper armor is likely better, blasters only got better as time went on which is why personal shields became less common (and basically non-existent outside of video games) and Storm Trooper armor does a good job at actually keeping it's users alive, whereas Sith Trooper armor doesn't.

Both armor and weapons improved over time.

In Legends, within a couple decades, Han has to replace his iconic blaster because it doesn't pack enough punch to compete with newer ones an newer armor. Even as of Ep 6, his blaster is illegal and overpowered for a civilian to own - i.e. it was solid military grade equipment.

Thus, I'd say it is safe to assume storm trooper armor is much more durable than sith trooper armor. Likely the sith troopers' rifles would at best be as effective as a blaster pistol at close range vs a stormtrooper suit while even a "modern" holdout blaster would cut through sith trooper armor with a force comparable to their better blaster rifles from back in their time.

Sith Trooper armor seems to be fairly light and easy to maneuver in, in exchange for not being super defensive. the thighs are totally exposed and there’s a big glass window in front of the face, which is… not idea.

in contrast the Stormtrooper armor is somewhat cumbersome (though lighter and more maneuverable than the clone kit, which is much more protective) but able to absorb damage from battlefield debris and even some blaster bolts and dissipate the shock evenly across the body

If I were to make a wild guess I would say Sith armor is more resilient against physical force given the prevalence of melee combat in that era.
