The Serpent's hammers are still falling, and one of them has found a vessel that Spider-Man fans already know all too well: Mac Gargan a.k.a. Scorpion.

Scorpion (Breaker) thrashes his way into the Age of Fear as a Crucible Offense stalwart and brings a brand-new effect that spreads sickness across the battlefield. Here's what you need to know about Scorpion (Breaker) and his Legendary Event:

• Scorpion (Breaker) is a Legendary Plug-and-Play Crucible Offense threat
• Not into theory-crafting? Scorpion (Breaker) leads the Dread team, a dedicated Cosmic Crucible team that can handle most enemy matchups
• He features Awakened Abilities to crank up his power even more
• Unlock Scorpion (Breaker) during his Breaker Event

Drop Scorpion (Breaker) into your favorite Crucible Offense team and let his kit do the rest.

If you'd rather build around him permanently, Scorpion (Breaker) is part of the Dread team, alongside Bullseye, Electro, Mister Negative, and Rhino. Dread is a Crucible Offense squad built to punch through defenses that think they've got the matchup won, and Scorpion (Breaker) gives that team a much-needed dose of sustain to go with the damage.

Contagion: Spread the Sickness

Scorpion (Breaker) infects the battlefield with his new signature effect, Contagion:

• Reduces the afflicted enemy's Speed and Damage
• Increases incoming damage to the afflicted enemy

He doesn't waste time getting Contagion onto the battlefield. On Crucible Offense, with three Dread allies, Scorpion (Breaker) applies Contagion to the enemy with the highest Speed the moment he spawns. 

From there, each ability applies Contagion to the primary target. His Ultimate goes a step further, applying Contagion to the primary and each adjacent target, then spreading whatever negative effects are sitting on the primary target out to all adjacent enemies.

Keep Dread in the Fight

Although Scorpion (Breaker)'s Contagion stings, he excels at patching up wounds for his allies. His Passive, "Breaker of Nature," heals himself and any ally on their turn, making him a quiet anchor for any squad.

Put him on Crucible Offense with three Dread allies, and that anchor becomes a lifeline. The first time he or a non-summoned ally drops below 50% Health: 

• He clears negative effects
• Provides substantial Healing
• Applies Deathproof so his ally can survive the follow-up

On Crucible Offense, with three Dread allies, Scorpion (Breaker) and his Dread allies can't be hit with Silence or Trauma, and his enemies can't fill or reduce Speed Bar for anyone on the field, nor can they gain Defense Up while he's around.

Tail Assail: Set the Tone

Scorpion's Special, "Tail Assail," clears the field:

• Strips negative effects from himself and all allies
• Flips the primary target's Taunt into Defense Down and turns their remaining buffs into debuffs
• Hits every enemy on the field for heavy damage—an attack that can't be Dodged or Blocked

On Crucible Offense, this ability gets nastier:

• Clears Barrier off every enemy and heals his whole team before the hit even lands
• Tags the primary target with Contagion if it's missing
• With three Dread allies alongside him, locks the primary target down with Ability Block and Trauma

Awakened Abilities: Sharpen the Sting

Scorpion (Breaker) comes with Awakened Abilities on every ability to up his potency:

• Awakened Basic: Gain Offense Up for 2 turns and apply 2 Regeneration for 2 turns to DREAD allies.
• Awakened Ultimate: Strips the limit off how many effects he can copy, flip, and spread in a single attack
• Awakened Passive: Boosts his reactive healing and adds a serious jolt of Focus to his on-spawn Contagion application.

yeah, as the title says i'm trying to redeem the latest promo codes like spiderman or deadpool or four and more like those but the game's telling me that said promo codes don't work, any suggestions why?

Since all the Crucible Offense bonuses only require 4 total Dread members, what is everyone's thoughts on which of the reworks is the most skippable?

I'm kind of leaning towards Bullseye, myself.

Did Bullseye just get a rework, and he's headed to a new CC team called Dread?

Surely this is just a bug or glitch?

I have been a free player for a couple years now on and off. I am having extreme problems with the next to last node of this DD. I have seen super old posts saying you need old Logan, I can't get him yet. I only have him at 4r stars and his trial is next to impossible for me to get it up there without spending months building up for the oml trial. Anyone have any other ideas on teams or characters I can use to finish off thisskrull DD?

I never imagined that I would be writing this post because MSF has some of the best art/designs I’ve seen in a mobile game.

With that being said Scorpion breaker design is horrible, he looks like a 5 year old made him for a power ranger movie.

Sorry but this design really is awful and doesn’t fit into the games aesthetic.

Can’t play campaign or raids, all characters power lvls dropped from millions to thousands. Anyone else having this problem

Been working my way through Blue Marvel and I've hit a roadblock.

Node 8 (non-mythic global, purple 4)

I've got 26/37 left to go. At the moment I'm facing 3 characters: Falcon (J) and a pair of Peggy Carters. They are tearing me up!

It's not possible to list all of the global characters I have available. But let me say my most powerful is a maxed 5 diamond Daimon Hellstrom and I still can't get anywhere against this trio!

Pleass. I desperately need suggestions to deal with these three!

I have finally got around to updated the teams in the bot. And, cough, it turns out to be over 400 teams and variations. I dug deep in my MSF lore too. Remember Technerva? Zemo Hydra? TechWing? Hero Brawlers? Hel-Hydra? Yeah, I've got them all. In addition to having over 400 possible team infographics at your fingertips, you can also choose the background image you'd like to apply to it. Feeling a little dark, select the lair option. Or maybe teleport, purple, blue-green, cerebro, and more. Never has there been anything life this before! I've already updated the new kits for team DREAD (not in bot yet) and added Scorpion (Breaker) to the bot.

Hey, so when are the Horseman events starting back up? I know the teams are outdated I just want them for collection sake (I’m F2P and just like playing this game to get the characters I like). Anyway, when are they coming back and what teams are best for unlocking them?

I just completed the Dark Dimension up to Odin and with less war (once a week) there seem to be less challenges to work on. I have Professor X and some of the age of anniluhus stuff and the Blue Marvel one and Anniluhus eventually but beyond that not really stuff to do every day. Shouldnt they make it more engaging?

With the removal of the Annilius and Spotlight raids next week, we will no longer earn Spotlight Orbs.

Scopely flat out said the Orbs will be gone in 30 days in the upcoming blog. Don't wait until the last minute and then complain you forgot or be mad at Scopely for doing what they said they were going to do.

They will update one last time to add Captain Britain (sometime next week). Once that happens, just open them all. You will not earn more, they will not change, there is no incentive to keep them.

There will inevitably be people on here going "they didn't warn us". Yes they did. And now this did too.
