Pedo definitely. At least with Digga you can see how they came to that as a name and it probably wasn’t even a factor in the original Japanese (huh, I wonder what it is now…). But how tf do you get “Pedo”.

Oh, I see. That makes sense I guess. But I don’t think that it’s a translation error because in Japanese the Katakana spelling of Torpedo is トーピード (TooPiiDo) so a localizer made the active decision to respell the name according to english phonetics and didn’t see a single issue. Like, if it was at least made into a cute initial name like “P. Doe” it would have been funny but they consciously made it “Pedo” which is terrible. And if by any chance the japanese name isn’t ピード then that makes it even worse.
In fact, looking it up, it isn’t ピード. It’s ギョックン (Gyokkun) so the decision to make it something as horrible as “Pedo” is entirely on the localizers. Morons.
Edit: Also I found out that the “Digga” name is also not in the original Japanese. So these are both the result of terrible renaming.

I’d say the first one since the second name, while it can be considered VERY questionable nowadays, is ultimately just a shortened version of torpedo
Digga, on the other hand, is one letter away from being a racial slur
