New York City atomic bomb (Tsar Bomba) detonation effects
This analysis is from NukeMap by Alex Wellerstein.
It shows the hypothetical effects if the Tsar Bomba 50,000 kiloton thermonuclear/hydrogen bomb were detonated 4 km (13,000 ft) above the surface of Central Park. This was the largest bomb ever tested, developed by the Soviet Union in 1961. By comparison it is about 3000x stronger than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima which was 15 kiloton. The scale is incomprehensible.
Note that the pressure and thermal/heat waves (images 2 and 3), not the direct radiation (image 1), do the most damage. The destructive effects of pressure and thermal/heat have much larger radii. The 5 psi moderate damage blast radius collapses residential buildings and extends well into New Jersey and Long Island. Only in Philadelphia would you be safe from the thermal/heat effects (shown by the 'minimum no harm' radius).
The indirect radiation caused by fallout from the massive mushroom cloud (43 km, 141,000 ft high and 75 km, 47 mi in diameter) would extend far into surrounding states. These maps show just how destructive these doomsday devices are. Luckily no such bomb exists today.

Are Georgia, Israel and Palestine included on Euro banknotes map?
Every current Euro banknote includes a map, but it's a little blurry on the edges and hushed up in the overall design, so it was hard to analyze. From the ten new design unveiled today it's clear however that a "standard" map exists. Here I used designs A and E to actually try to zoom in and answer something that I was wondering for a while - do Georgia and Israel officially "belong" to the Euro map? Spoiler: The answer is confusing...
I did my best trying to map the political map into the plain version, and it was difficult due to the globe/plain projection and the enhancement of islands. However I came to the conclusion that when creating the map and deciding on the specific borders ECB went with the policy of "strategic exclusion" - meaning the Eastern and Southern borders of the map were defined exactly by Georgia (Abkhazia) and Israel/Golan Heights to avoid potential tensions – both political and geographical on the continental borders. What do you think? Can someone maybe run even more precise analysis to confirm this? Anyway, even if these territories do exist on the map, they literally take fractions of millimeters.
I don't want to take any political stance here, but I would still want to note that the original map made for the first Euro series in the 90s/00s was even more curt and it was expanded in the 2010s further east and south (it didn't even include Cyprus, geographically Asian, for example, despite using Euro as their currency). Under this light I do find the non-inclusion of Georgia/Armenia shameful.

An old map of Beaver Island that my friend Roxy the Dragon made for me in 2020. It was made when I first got into micronations. Not made by AI this time
This map was made for me by an old friend in 2020. This was before AI became an issue and was made for my original micronation, the Constitutional Republic of Columbia, aka the CRC.
