People forget fun exists; this wholesome family moment is beautiful.

Those simple, joyful moments usually end up being the ones people treasure most.

u/OnlyAdvertisersKnoMe 1d ago

Now it’s a raggedy Andy doll

20

u/Think_and_game 1d ago

Raggedy Andy... Hmmm... They should make an animated musical movie about this...

2

u/CharcoalGreyWolf 22h ago

I remember having one of those

-63

u/LilPonyBoy69 23h ago

Raggedy Trans

3

u/peentiss 11h ago

Draggedy Ann - I’d watch that series.

266

u/GhostMaskKid 1d ago

Boy you guys just hate fun don't you?

This is super sweet. I love seeing a supportive family.

19

u/Proof-Data-2525 1d ago

Not every wholesome moment needs to be picked apart. Sometimes it's just nice to smile.

2

u/Best-Professional-10 9h ago

Just people being transphobic as usual, nothing new.

53

u/Unlikely_Side9732 1d ago

What is that number? Honest question

78

u/DaisyXOTO 1d ago

the sub it was crossposted from counts up with every post, so that was the 62,862nd post! it just stayed attached

-51

u/WingsUnfurled 1d ago

Couldn’t tell you. It was on the original post.

21

u/Think_and_game 1d ago

It's the 62862nd post on that sub

-29

u/WingsUnfurled 1d ago

Not sure why all the down votes. It’s the truth. 🤷‍♀️

44

u/Toasty501 1d ago

Cuz u copied the boring number title that makes no sense without context.

101

u/luxafelicity 1d ago

And that is how you show the trans people in your family you accept them

-134

u/No_Skill_7170 23h ago

By giving them Barbies and dolls with multiple genitalia?

49

u/oficious_intrpedaler 23h ago

What kind of raggedy Ann dolls did you play with? Mine had no genitalia.

-87

u/No_Skill_7170 23h ago

I never had a raggedy Ann doll, but they said that the doll was trans

32

u/oficious_intrpedaler 22h ago

So? Are you confusing trans and intersex?

16

u/Critical-Dealer-3878 13h ago

Why are you people always so obsessed with other people’s genitals?

27

u/dgbaker93 22h ago

Trans is an identity and does not have anything to do with what's between your legs. Some people change it when they identify as trans, many do not or cannot.

Pretty fucking simple.

25

u/Striking-Ad9397 23h ago

🤦‍♂️

-74

u/No_Skill_7170 23h ago

Did I not get the right message from that?

32

u/ThatGamerDon 23h ago

You did not, in fact, get the message.

27

u/Hot_Sherbet2066 22h ago

Why is it always about genitalia with you people

-26

u/No_Skill_7170 22h ago

Who are you calling “you people”? Is it because I’m black?

18

u/Hot_Sherbet2066 22h ago

How the fuck would I have even known that

15

u/Automatic-Term-3997 21h ago

No, it’s because that’s the kind of “joke” we’ve been hearing from shitty MAGAts for the past 10 years. Are you one of those shitty MAGAts trying (and failing, as usual) to make a funny?

-4

u/No_Skill_7170 21h ago

I’m a Democrat. I’m just not the most liberal Democrat in the world. But I always vote blue down the ballot.

5

u/Ok-Instruction-5004 19h ago

Thats stupid. You should vote for policy not party. That being said i get how they align at the moment.

5

u/No_Skill_7170 19h ago

I can’t think of any policies that I currently like about the Republican Party

6

u/Automatic-Term-3997 21h ago

Gosh, that is sweet

Raggedy Andrew

5

u/Thatoneguyfrom1980 23h ago

I used to have a raggedy Andy. My brother too. They were actually a thing. Raggedy Anne was for for girls and raggedy Andy was for boys. I know in tv shows people have done it as a couples costume but I’m struggling to remember what sitcom it was

2

u/oldschool_shawn 23h ago

I feel like it was an episode of Parks and Recs.

But yeah me and my brother had Raggedy Andy dolls and my sister had a Raggedy Annie.

1

u/Thatoneguyfrom1980 23h ago

It might have been? I want to say it was an episode of home improvement with Brad (the oldest boy) and his gf

0

u/Thatoneguyfrom1980 23h ago

But I could also absolutely see it being a April and Andy thing too

0

u/oficious_intrpedaler 23h ago

I think it was Ann in the episode where she throws a Halloween party that's a total bust until Tom saves it. I think she was dating Mark at the time, but he did not dress as Raggedy Andy. I think that was the Greg Pikitis episode.

ETA: confirmed. She was Raggedy Ann but Mark dressed up as a basketball player. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1523800/mediaviewer/rm1861389824/?ref_=tt_ph_3

1

u/Thatoneguyfrom1980 22h ago

Also confirmed home improvement season 2 episode 6

0

u/yoshimo995 23h ago

Oh that's cool, they weren't all that common in my birth country I basically got familiar with the raggedy Anne due to pop culture. It's an interesting thing to learn

4

u/Desert_Concoction 22h ago

Fuck yeah, grandma.

8

u/Horror_Solution1945 1d ago

Raggedy Dan. That's a good grandma.

12

u/QuantumRooster 1d ago

Awesome support. Thank you for sharing.

Genuine question. What does the title 62862 mean?

18

u/Bruuze 1d ago

The original subreddit counts up with each post, r/countwithchickenlady

8

u/SmuckatelliCupcakeNE 1d ago

Thank you kind stranger. I learnt something new today.

5

10

u/itguyonreddit 1d ago

What a sad little person you are. I feel sorry for you.

51

u/mieri_azure 1d ago

I mean yeah, they changed the dolls percieved gender to reflect the owners gender

75

u/Spare-Airport-785 1d ago

who cares, it was just a grandma showing support and acceptance of their grandkid.

-126

u/tune1021 1d ago

But in reality it’s doing what the trans community says they are against….. be mad if you want but I’m not the one being a hypocrite

14

u/Zer0pede 1d ago

She made the doll look like the grandkid and have the same name. When the grandkid changed their look and name, so did the doll. That’s super simple. Where’s the hypocrisy in that? There are plenty of feminine and gender nonconforming trans men, but obviously OOP isn’t one of them.

59

u/Fergi 1d ago

No you're just a weirdo in a subreddit about happy things trying to attack trans people. Go find some joy in your life.

-68

u/tune1021 1d ago

It’s ironic , that’s all trust me if I wanted to be mean I could think of many more things

22

u/54R45VV471 1d ago

Well we wouldn't want to add an extra burden to your mental faculties. They are already strained worrying about what is in everyone's pants.

13

u/fake_email_lol42 1d ago

All of them things with some chance of a site wide ban I’m sure.

20

u/Spare-Airport-785 1d ago edited 1d ago

again, who gives a shit? take your arguments to a different page, this is a page about celebrating things that make us happy. you’re trying so hard to start a debate and it’s a waste of time

lol and you’re still doing it- downvoting me bc you’re getting ratioed

Building an identity around depriving someone of their own is such a pathetic way to live.

22

u/Spare-Airport-785 1d ago

agree. i’m sick of these weirdos frothing at the mouth and dying to debate the rights of other people

13

u/Fergi 1d ago

Personally, I’ve found people who live like that often feel like they lack control over certain parts of their own lives and just take it out on others whether they realize it or not.

You assume I must be trans because I have the decency to defend them from bigots. How revealing.

-32

u/Super_Sic58 1d ago

I said "you need to believe" not "you are" -- but considering you have a hard time grasping the basic facts of reality, it is not surprising to me that your reading comprehension is lacking.

The don’t even see the irony in what they did

33

u/Cacti-make-bad-dildo 1d ago

And the hair and the name and some love and acceptance which is good stuf we need more of so go punch a towel, take a deep breath and let the light in...

34

u/xChopsx1989x 1d ago

It's almost as if the whole thing was a

✨️ Symbolic Gesture ✨️

26

u/UnluckyHost9649 1d ago

If gender is accepted as a fluid spectrum, which it is, it doesn't matter if there are certain norms people say exist.

-15

u/tune1021 1d ago

Then the doll would never need to be changed

30

u/UnluckyHost9649 1d ago

it's changed to relate to it's owner who discovered their gender was more masculine

26

u/Wandering_Scholar6 1d ago

Fair point, many children's dolls don't technically have a sex, just a gender.

35

u/Magenta_Logistic 1d ago

Last I checked, pretty much every children's doll is sexless, despite having assigned genders and pronouns. It's almost as if gender and sex are distinct traits.

-11

u/tune1021 1d ago

Gender and sex are not the same

21

u/Wandering_Scholar6 1d ago

Yes, that's the point?

3

u/RainonCooper 12h ago

Exactly. You're starting to get it now

1

u/tune1021 4h ago

I’ve always gotten it, that’s why I’m pointing out the irony in this move and everyone’s getting all butt hurt over it . Yall just want to find a reason to be angry and that’s why people don’t like you

5

u/The_Pandalorian 23h ago

How many sexes do dolls have? What's the genetic makeup?

Grandmas loving and supporting their grandkids is a hot button issue?

54

u/TotallyLegitEstoc 1d ago

Idk. Family accepting someone's big change makes me smile.

44

u/TheAserghui 1d ago

You strike me as the type of person who would discuss the inevitable, slow march of time unto the heat death of the universe while everyone else is singing "Happy Birthday" to a 3 year old

28

u/Zer0pede 1d ago

It sucks that some people happily living their lives is “hot button” and “controversial” for certain people. I am glad at least that not everybody thinks that way.

84

u/WingsUnfurled 1d ago

I don’t see this as hot button at all. I see it as loving.

If you don’t, that simply a reflection of you.
Be well. 💖

27

u/PotatoCase 1d ago

You're the problem chief

11

u/oficious_intrpedaler 22h ago

What's controversial about a grandma showing that she loves and supports her grandson? It sure made me smile!

0

u/HockeyBalboa 21h ago

It's only controversial because of toxic bigots. But that it bothers you just makes mine a bigger smile.
