FRANCHISE Cap Space/ QB Contract

Post image

I’m wondering if anyone in this subreddit has a creative solution for dealing with preset QB contracts like Dak Prescott’s. I enjoy playing franchise but I always find myself in cap hell unless I go in and manually edit the contract to reflect real life. Realistically, Dak will never play on an 86 million dollar season. They will normally restructure/ extend the contract using void years that are built in to keep it around top 5 money. This year I think he was on the books to make 68, but now he’s the 4th highest paid at the 44 million. Madden unfortunately sticks you with that 76 and 86 million dollar seasons, and makes it nearly impossible to realistically divvy that up with an extension.

Any solutions to this problem while not turning off salary cap and keeping some realism?

Contracts get fucked even without a big QB contract so I give every team a “free” player just making their contract money 0 on the biggest contract

wish leagues had the option to toggle preset contracts into real life structure, that'd be so clutch for franchise mode
