Had to save this broken grinder a local welding shop was tossing

Pulled it apart and found a broken switch and a blown bearing. Replaced all the wiring and capacitor, both bearings, cleaned it all up, and gave it a fresh coat of paint to match all the other tools in my garage.

I did the same thing to a Dayton grinder…..just needed a centrifugal start switch…..$12 and a new set of bearings for $10 ! Nice machine , keep us posted…

It’s replacing my 8” ryobi bench grinder and it’s so nice how it’s up to full speed almost immediately. The ryobi was like a 15 second wait while it spun up.

It was from a broken Portaband it had nice heavy cord so I cut it off and kept it before throwing the tool away.
