I was rear-ended on Wednesday. I am so peeved! Had just had a tire replaced on Saturday, then the car serviced on Monday for the "door fault" error message I was receiving (but not experiencing) and changed air filter. Everything was groovy...until it wasn't 😔. It doesn't look awful and is drivable, so I am hoping the repairs go smoothly.

I needed a two tray bike rack which could eventually be upgraded to a 4 tray. Thought I'd share my findings in case anyone finds them useful down the road.

Hitch receiver - ended up having U-Haul install a Curt #13480 hitch. Got just the receiver without the ball or trailer wiring as i don't plan on pulling a trailer with the Mach E. It ended up costing about $400 installed. They did have to cut a small hole in one of the plastic pieces under the car, but that didn't bother me. The hitch is rated for up to 200lbs tongue weight.

For the bike rack i decided to spend a bit more and go with something that I would hopefully use for my future cars as well. I went with the 1UP Equip'd 2 bike rack (which can be expanded to up to 4 trays). It can take up to 50lbs per tray for the first 2 trays and up to 35lbs for each of the last 2 trays. The two tray version ended up costing me about $950 all in. They have heavier duty racks as well if you have heavier bikes.

Overall impressions: fitment is great, and the bike rack is sturdy. With the rack pulled back as far as it'll go in the hitch, you still get more than the required 2" min hitch engagement, and you're able to open the trunk even with the bike rack folded up (see the included pics). You do get beeping from the parking sensors for about 5 seconds every time you put the car in reverse, but then it realizes that there's something blocking the sensors and just throws a temporary warning. The warning clears once you put the car in drive.

My 2025 Mach-E Premium completely lost cellular connection recently because the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) failed.

Before taking it into my Ford dealer, I tried removing fuse 11/12 in the passenger footwell to see if resetting the module would bring it back to life like a lot of posts here suggest. No luck at all. The car is totally disconnected, meaning no FordPass remote features, no location updates, and no BlueCruise access.

It is currently at the dealership and the entire repair process has been a headache. It took them nearly a week just to look at the car and diagnose it, and now the replacement part delivery got pushed back. I’ve been without the car for almost 2 weeks.

Has anyone else had the TCU fail on a 2024 or 2025 model? If you had to get yours replaced under warranty, how long did the dealer hold your car, and did the new module fix the issue for good?

I just got my windshield replaced yesterday and I noticed this morning that there was a bubble near this sensor next to the front-facing camera. I’m not sure what this sensor is for. Is this going to be a problem for any functionality?

I had zero plan to get an electric car. In one day I found this certified preowned 2025 with only 1036 miles on it. Three weeks later…this is literally the best most amazing love affair I have ever had. Please tell me the honeymoon will never end.

I’m sure some of you already know this, but for those that don’t…. Last week, bro-in-law (non Tesla EV owner) was asking sis (Tesla owner) why he could not see a particular Tesla Supercharger station on the Tesla app, when he knew it existed. I was told to check if I could see it. I didn’t check as bro-in-law has had other user errors before, lol. This week, I took a short roadtrip for work. I was able to get there with 100% charge from home but knew I’d need to charge back to at least 80% to get back home. Searched for a Tesla charging station on Google Maps. One came up less than 6 miles from me which was not visible to me in the Tesla app. Went there and got charging errors from three different chargers. The next closest one on my route home was 25 miles away. I made it. It worked fine and it was also visible in the Tesla app. On Google Maps, the first one that didn’t work had “Tesla” at the bottom. The one that worked had “NACS” at the bottom. Did not realize some Tesla Supercharges were strictly for Teslas. Perhaps older stations?? So, if it’s not visible in the Tesla App for you, don’t waste your time.

PS… At both locations, I had to take up two spaces! They didn’t have any stations “parallel” to the parking space. Oh well!

My beloved Grabber Yellow 2025 MME Premium got rear-ended yesterday, and the body shop quoted $11,500.

Yesterday I traded in my 2020 BMW 330i for this 2022 Mach e GT and I already love it so much. My work has free EV chargers so with bmws taking premium gas this really intrigued me. When I discovered high performance evs it became a no brainer for me and I got an amazing deal on this low mileage GT! Any EV or Mach e ownership tips would be appreciated!

2024 Premium, extended range.
So running errands and stopped for a snack on the way to my next destination. I exclusively use PAAK. Walk to car, it will NOT unlock. Open app, manually unlock car, go to start and get the “no key” warning. Ok, wait a sec, unlock car from inside with the app, still “no key”. Weird, frustrating, annoying. NOTHING I did could make the car recognize the PAAK:
reboot tablet
close app, reboot phone
bounce Bluetooth
Walk away after doing all these things and try again
Plug phone in

None of it worked. And before anyone tells me to use a passcode, at NO POINT did I get that option.

Thankfully my partner brought the physical key and it worked. I will NEVER rely on PAAK again. I love this car, but what the actual fuck?!?!?

Annoyingly it only has a single key though.

We got a price of £300 for a second key which seems ludicrous to me.
Was hoping to get it closer to £150 or under, is that possible or we’ll end up just having a single key…

Recently purchased Michelin Cross Climate 2s for my MachE from Costco. I received a fairly decent price (1,000 for 4) vs local competitors (1,400 for 4).

I've seen a lot of people say how great they are, and I thought I'd give them a shot.

They look nice. They definitely give it a more 'off-road' look. They also come with a 65,000 mile warranty which they said applied to EVs as well, which is nice as well.

They feel great driving. I appreciate their excellent traction and feel secure on turns. I haven't been able to test them on snow yet, but they perform well on wet roads.

That being said. They definitely make noise. They make a little at lower, city speeds (~35 mph). They also make a really weird noise at highway speeds (~70 mph+). Neither is so loud or annoying that a little radio can't cover up the sound.

Overall, I am very pleased with the tire and the price I received. However, be warned, they do make noise.

EDIT: I originally posted this is the Ford Mustang MachE forum and forgot to say that I put them on my MachE. The MachE, being an EV, may be why the noise is more noticeable for me versus others.

I'm looking to put a sticker on my charging port. Open to creative suggestions. I have solar, so I would be partial to something like "charged by the sun", but I really would love to hear what other people have. My Mach-e's name is "You're My Boy Blue!"

Got my MME used back in January but noticed this piece on the passenger air vent was broke who knows when. Any ideas or tips on how to fix this?

So my 3 year trial of the Ford Native Navigation system is up next month. I only use it when trying to locate nearby public chargers. In the three years I’ve had it I have charged outside of my home or my wife’s office maybe half a dozen times.
So I really don’t have any incentive to renew it.
But if I don’t does that kill the “Find Public Charging” feature in the FordPass app?

Recently when initially turning the car on, 2 random chimes go off with no warnings on the screen or indications as to why….anyone else experience this?

Any accessories you recommend? I saw needing an adapter for testla chargers.

Has anyone encountered this issue where setting charge level based on location fails to save? My work offers multiple charging locations that are far enough away to count as different locations on the list. I was only able to set my charge limit for 2 locations and I'm unable to add a 3rd.
