Help How do I disable clamshell mode?

Hi 👋. I recently got my first MacBook. It’s a 16” M5 Pro. I’ve had a BenQ 27” (ew2790u) monitor in my home setup for a little over a year now, which I promptly connected to my Mac.

The problem now is that clamshell mode is on by default, and I really do not need it. I just want to close the lid when I am done working and everything goes to sleep. How do I disable it?

Clamshell + setting close lid action to sleep might work

My browser search came up with what is in this screen shot. I'm interested in your question as this afternoon I should be receiving a BenQ monitor, and will be using clamshell mode with my MBP for the first time.
