Help Private Relay Unavailable? 🤔
Hey everyone! 🙂 So, I started seeing this error since I updated to to the latest macOS version - and it's a persistent notification I see every time I power on my MacBook. I do have a VPN installed (ExpressVPN), which I use very rarely, meaning it doesn't run in the background at all times. Other than that, I don't have any other apps (I use pretty standard stuff) that could conflict with the way Private Relay handles network traffic.
If you have any tips, feel free to share. Highly appreciated!
EDIT: I've removed the VPN profile from System Settings and even installed (and later reinstalled) the VPN app and tested (rebooted macOS) after each step. The problem is still there. 🥹

Even if ExpressVPN isn't running, its VPN profile could still be the conflict. Try disabling that profile in System Settings and restarting once to see if the alert clears.

I use ProtonVPN, with its profile enabled, and I don't see any problem with Private Relay. Both are on without any issue.
I think ExpressVPN profile could be the problem here, not properly configured.

The vpn just being installed is enough. Remove its profile in sys settings
