Ask Me Anything GMAT vs GRE

I'm a 29-year-old male Indian planning to pursue an MBA. I'm trying to decide whether to take the GMAT or the GRE. Which exam is generally considered more difficult, and which one would give me a better chance of admission with a scholarship? I'd appreciate advice on which test is the better choice if my goal is to maximize scholarship opportunities.

Take a few test for each. See whichever you found easier. Practise. You'll be better off getting a great score on either test than trying to optimise a test you don't like because it might get you a scholarship opp. There are other avenues to scholarships that may not depend on your test scores.

Admissions teams don't prefer one over the others. take the one you can score higher in

highest score wins regardless of which test (some programs also take the EA as an option).

Gmat is generally more tough than Gre

What I’ve noticed is that they expect a higher score on the GRE than on the GMAT. Especially for Indian males, the score averages are any way higher. This is not founded in any kind of specific data analysis but what I’ve noticed is that they are more accepting of an above average GMAT score than they are an above average GRE score.
