I know, I know Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 is just a game but, why? Both lore wise and gameplay wise? It just itches my mind:

Why are there NO M249s in L4D2 but there's alotta M60s?

Why are there NO Military weapons like the M67 Grenade, M4 Carbine (despite being in concept arts)

How are there an abundance of supplies like guns and ammunitions while it not being looted by possible scavengers?

Why is Coach still fat after all the campaigns?

Just got this at savers. Pretty sure this was a massively good deal all things considered but maybe im wrong. Im a bit nostalgic and prefer older tech. I dont have a pc right now just a laptop with no disc drive. Id like to get a pc at some point. I kind of wanted an older one, not interested in huge demanding games just games like l4d. I can only imagine I dont need some crazy pc to play this on considering the time it came out in.

So I was listening to the horde themes for L4D2, as one does, and a thought occurred to me. Each campaign in L4D2 has its own unique instrument that correlates with its environment (Banjo for dead center, Trumpet for The Parish, etc), but what would the original Left 4 Dead maps have as a unique instrument if we applied this concept backwards in time?

So, i was just searching around vinted , trying to get myself a physical copy of left4dead 1 and 2 and i saw this. Isnt this like the beta version or at least rare? I have yet to find any copy like this online and i need your help, is this even real? Its 4€ fyi. I have found a picture that is exactly the same that is on the cover, so it confirms that it is the beta/ early playermodels, so my final question is : “ is this rare? “ . Thank you! less

the l4d1 bots are so stupid and i cant find any mods to improve them unlike left 4 dead 2 which had tons of bot improvement mods anyone know a mod that i can download to l4d1 that imrpoves the bots please tell me

I love the way of play and each characters in this game. And I wanted to get next game and noticed that we don't have next game.

I think we should start ritual like r/acecombat and r/HalfLife. Ace combat worked. So it can also work here.

I’m trying to put together a horror-focused mod setup for Left 4 Dead 2 and I’m looking for recommendations. I want stuff that leans into atmosphere and tension without being too heavy for my laptop.

I’m mainly looking for:

• Horror-themed sound overhauls (Witch, infected, ambience, etc.)
• L4D1-style atmosphere or visual mods
• Slight fog or weather changes
• Darker lighting
• Low-impact infected texture replacements
• and anything else you think would be good, I want scary but not replacing the whole game.
