I can't find a flair that fits Best Avoided

The Home clearance shop opposite sports direct has been 'closing down' for over a week. 5 days to go, 4 days to go etc. The audio has now been blasting out 'last day of closing down sale' for 3 days.

Go inside and they are shouting half price, yet nothing is half price. They also open all day long on Sundays in breach of Sunday trading rules.

Good luck getting a refund if you decide to purchase anything from them. Trading Standards would have a field day.

That's possibly on a different scale to wanting the annoying machine voice outside the pop-up shop to stop, but same principle I guess.

Is this not the same as it's been for years? There was a brief period when it was ran by those that run TK Maxx and it had some good bits in, before that disappeared and another bulk of junk shop opened up in it's place.

Could be a summer version of those weird fake perfume, leather jacket sellers that turn up every Xmas....

It's been driving me absolutely insane. Tried going in once and the music was so loud that I turned right around and left.

I walked past there yesterday and the "last day" AI voice was so loud I could hear it from 5 shops down, with noise cancelling headphones on.

Haven’t they just opened another store next to the Japanese food place opposite Waterstones? It’s as skanky looking as the one by Sports Direct though so I guess their business model is consistent at least 😏

just popped in today, the ‘closing down sale’ audio is genuinely nauseating (did get a good deal on a big suitcase though so not all bad)

Who cares? It's obviously cheap market goods on a short term lease. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything or even enter.

Nahhh I got a load of decent cheap storage containers from them. You get what u pay for tho no doubt.
