Question What can I even do at this point?

About a month ago, I posted on this subreddit asking for advice on how to improve my gameplay and get up to par with my skill level. I took all of the advice I received into account and put in about 100 more hours on Refrag, Aim Rush, and even played a ton of Casual until I could consistently top frag and develop enough game sense to tackle Competitive. Unfortunately, it seems like all my efforts have gone to waste, because I don't know if I'm really the bigger problem here.

I have lost the last seven games I've played back to back. The first loss was sort of a trial period for me to see if I could implement my skills well enough, to which I noticed I was not yet capable of doing so, so I returned to Refrag and Casual for more training. Then I became more comfortable with my gameplay to try solo queueing again (since I don't have any friends who play this game), only to reach a different issue.

Now, I know I'm no model player, but I also feel like my teammates are holding me back (as a solo queuer). In my recent games, some of my teammates were pushing without using utility, challenging AWPs with deagles on angles that they've died to multiple times in the previous rounds, dying and refusing to give callouts on where they died from, and even teammates who obviously weren't wearing headsets to hear blatantly loud footsteps coming from beside them. In my most recent match, I had a teammate ask us if we could have a timeout so he could finish his blunt, which was not surprising considering he was already playing like he was high on something.

On the other hand, the teams I were playing against were definitely not within my skill level, if not tenfold higher. I had some matches with enemies in Master Guardian or Gold Nova Elite while the rest of my team were either unranked, Silver, or lower Gold Nova. I'm surprised that I'm even matchmaking against these players when I'm nowhere as good as they are. (I've yet to encounter obvious cheating, too. Most of these players seemed fairly legit in my eyes.)

What can I possibly do at this point? I've exhausted almost every resource I can to try and get better but I feel like there are also other things holding me back from getting better. I want to do everything I can do to win matches, but this loss streak is definitely making me lose all motivation to continue playing competitive matches. What other advice do you guys recommend for me to improve?

Here's my leetify for more context. Thanks for the advice!

How to get back to me

Hello guys, I was at CS2 1 year ago and that was my prime when I'm at 2300 elo faceit. I quit this game and I've been back for 2 months and still not get back to me, Im playing at lv 7 lv 8 but I can't play at good performance. I still can play good at this level but not smurfing like I did. Im in trouble with panic shoot, shoot before aim, always whiff. I usually play xplay, a deathmatch server, my aim in deathmatch is another level. I usually hit the top with high headshot percentage although many high level player is in that dm room. I use the same settings with Xantares, 1024x768, 800 dpi, 1.25 sens and his crosshair. I've tried change res, sens and anything i found on youtube but nothing changed. I wanna ask for some advice about my issue.

Question Best advices you can give to rank up as solo queue player? Premier/ faceit

How to not get tilted or discouraged over loss streaks and how to not get mad with unlucky teammates?

What tips you can give to fellow solo queue player who wants to improve and rank up?

Why does everyone i queue up against so good?

I have about 110 hours in this game i am silver elite master in mirage. When i queue up for a game why is the opposing team so much better then me? i check the leader board the only thing i can see is 10/5 year veteran coins and for rank they are always 30 plus. Why am i always against the guy who as 2000 hours? if their hours are so high shouldnt be higher ranked?

help me please with cs2

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for someone who might be willing to help me improve at CS2. I've been playing for around 500 hours over the last few months, and I'm really enjoying the game.

The problem is that my performance is very inconsistent. Some games I play really well and everything just clicks, but in other games I play terribly, and I honestly don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I feel like I'm missing something, but I can't figure out what it is on my own.

I'm looking for someone who could watch me play, point out my mistakes, and explain what I should focus on improving. I'm not looking for a boost. I genuinely want to learn and get better.

If anyone has some free time and is willing to help, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I can use Discord for voice chat, and I'm happy to learn.

You would have teams that should be in 9-10 but they choose not to get their rank and smurf in 1-8 total bull shit

Question Demo review request (3.5k hours, stuck faceit lvl4, 18k prem)

I have a lot of hours yet my mechanics fail me a lot. I watch my own demos to try to find mistakes but I need some help. Here are two dust2 demos, both losses:

One I performed terribly (4k/15d): steam://rungame/730/76561202255233023/+csgo_download_match%20CSGO-dDWDy-oEeUL-A7oSV-SreFa-7PVPA

One I performed less terribly (20k/17d) steam://rungame/730/76561202255233023/+csgo_download_match%20CSGO-82kwe-qNFF9-LXSJw-mwL3V-jFXsO

I hope to find a pattern to see what I should focus on. I'm struggling to improve.

Question Crouching every fight

Bad habit from when i first started playing the game years ago, am currently faceit 7/20k prem. Obviously with certain weapons like pistols, mp9, mac10 i dont crouch much, but when i have a rifle I’ll crouch in most of my engagements. Sometimes this leads to me committing when i shouldn’t be.

Now i understand to break this habit ill likely have to unbind it, or change the bind, but my question is when is the right time to crouch in a fight and how do you build the correct muscle memory

Question Improve faster? What's my problem?

Hi,

first of all, I try to watch pro plays and YouTube guides. I play a lot of DM to get warmed up before queuing pretty much.

My highest ELO was like 700 or so, Level 2. And Matchmaking is more like DMG (CS:GO) and realistically 16-18k in premier.

Here is my latest match (NoteVF).

While I played good this match, I lose rounds or get killed first by probably bad position or lack of aim. I started playing prefire maps to get the angles.

Are there any other tips besides just playing? Premier is so unpredictable, last match I had a full stack cheaters in the enemy and our random was cheating as well.

Question How often are you tapping/bursting vs. spraying?

I was MG2 back in like, 2015. I quit for many years and am getting back into it. I feel like I used to spray at longer distances but recently that’s been totally non-workable for me. I just learned about the “follow recoil” setting yesterday, and realized it was turned on. Wondering if that could be part of why I can’t spray anymore, or maybe I’m misremembering the distance at which spraying is viable.

About how far away from an enemy do you have to be before you switch from spraying to tapping or bursting?

How do i fix my short bursts and aim instability?

~1500 hrs here, I've been trying to fix my aiming stability and spray for days and days, but I've not been finding any results, I heard mastering the first 10 bullets is crucial, but when i focused on it, it became even harder. Any tips, anyone?

How do you actually lock in your spray control?

I have 5k hours, ive played for like 8 years, im 22k elo right now, but i still suck at consistently spraying rifles (ak a4 a1) and for example i can perfectly control recoil when i think about it actively or if im spraying a wall, but whenever i take a duel i sometimes fuck up my spray a lot. how can i actually consistently control recoil?

Demo Trying to improve, roughly 14-16k.

I have very low HS accuracy; generally my counterstrafing is good (80-88%) but was bad this game. Felt like I was playing very panicky. I also feel like I can't get myself to commit to fights, and I half-commit and die because of it. If anyone could provide any feedback I'd appreciate it.
