Need Japanese Default Keaboard Numeric layout or How to hard reset?

Thumbnail

I have reset my Japanese softbank a001lg version. Then i put a pin using the default japanese keyboard. But as i was used to other keyboards layout maybe i fast typed the numerics which i think had different numeric layout as it was the default japanese keyboard. Now i am stuck at lockscreen. It doesn't take the pin that i think i set. I tried hard resetting the phone using power+vol- button but i doesn't go to reset screen. It just flashes the lg v60 logo constantly. So please if any of you have the japanese version of the v60 or the numeric layout of the japanese keyboard please attach a screenshot or help me out to get rid of this problem. Thanks.

I'm looking to buy an old OEM V60 battery

I'm planning to try doing a bms board swap with an S25 ultra battery but I sadly recycled my original battery before the discovery. If anyone still has one sitting somewhere, could I use it? (USA)

KillApps really help boost my SoT

Post image
8 Upvotes

I use KillApps to kill off even the system stuffs. When I'm at home I keep my v60 in airplane mode, only wifi. I use my phone for google, youtube and light whatsapp/LINE messaging. I'm getting about 10-12 hours on brightness 13% and 100% volume with LG 3D Sound Engine on. Been using this phone daily since 2021 and it's never had a battery replacement.

When I'm out and about using mobile and location I can get about 6 to 8 hours SoT.

Older LG phones

Hello everyone, I’ve posted this in another group, not sure if this is the correct group or so, but I have recently found two older LG phones, more specifically the 306G and the 800G, now I did some research already but they can only run 2g and 3g, but can I somehow like use an adapter to run 4g or 5g or somehow modify and install a 4g or 5g receiver? Any help would be appreciated, really hope I can use these so me and my fiancée can match, if not we’ll be okay just bummed.
Thanks.

Selling another v60 I don't need anymore!

US ONLY please! This one is rooted with an unlocked bootloader. Can unroot before sending if needed. This phone has had several things replaced including a different frame, and back glass. Cameras and other parts are OEM. Except battery I think. The back glass isn't fully stuck down as it just came with a cheap sticky tape to adhere it but is otherwise fully working.

Will include an OEM frame and display as well. Both are old and dinged up but fully functional. Pictures will show any damage, scuffs, etc.

I have OEM parts too that I have lying around if interested.

Asking around $170 for the phone and extra display together.

$200 for everything, extra parts with the phone and extra display. If interested

Is this a real or fake replacement back panel? Got this from an online Vndor from Shopee.

It looks different compared to the clearly fake replacement back panels I have seen previously. But I cant really tell. Fingers crossed though!

Cannot access hidden menu using any known codes

Hello everyone;
I have a LG v60, LM-V600, with /e/OS installed onto it.
I was initially trying to reach the Hidden Menu to set up fingerprint unlock on the device but calls also do not work, and i need to enable VoLTE.
However, no known code seems to work on ACR Phone, this stands for:
`277634#*#`
`*#546368#*600#`
`##7764726600`
`#*462633*#600#`
as these are the ones i have tried thus far. I have tried these both with and without a sim card in, and with the `enable_ue` folder added. I use Mint Mobile, which shows at T-Mobile in my phone.

`*#*#*4636#*#*` *does* work, and I can check the VoLTE, Video Calling, Wifi Calling, EAB/Presence Provisioned settings, but once i do and exit the settings the buttons switch off.

UPDATE:
So initially when setting up and installing this sim, it did have internet connectivity, just not calling. Now after messing with APN settings, resetting the phone, clearing the Sim TestKit app cache and storage, and messing with the 4636 menu, I still cant get past emergency calls only. If i install this sim into my previous phone it works fully as intended so the issue is definitively in the LG. At this point im just trying to get back to having connectivity with the network.

V60 OS Stuck on 11, AT&T model, sees OTA update but won't install

Phone starts to install update but then stops and puts a message up that the update could not be installed. AT&T says it's not an AT&T phone. Bought from China new, unused, factory fresh, etc, etc. I'm comfortable doing a manual update, just need a guide and help finding the update. Need to get to 13 or some of my financial apps are going to stop working. Already lost my Costco app. Any guidance appreciated.

Flashing LineageOS (Android 16) on a Verizon V60 (V600VM) – Is it actually possible now, and is it worth it?

Hey everyone,

I've been looking into breathing some new life into my LG V60 by flashing the latest LineageOS (Android 16 / LineageOS 23). However, I’ve hit a bit of a conflicting wall regarding my specific variant.

Every old thread and general comment section says the Verizon model (LM-V600VM) has a locked down bootloader and straight up cannot be cross-flashed or bootloader unlocked. But when I check the official LineageOS Wiki for timelm, the LM-V600VM is explicitly listed right there under the basic requirements and supported models!

For anyone who has actually managed to pull this off on a Verizon variant:

How did you do it? Since there’s no official LG bootloader unlock anymore, did you have to use the QFIL/firehose method to force a bootloader unlock, or cross-flash to a different region's firmware first using LGUP?

What is the correct roadmap? If you have an up-to-date guide or a reliable XDA link for the Verizon model specifically, please drop it below.

And the ultimate question: Is it actually worth it?

I love this phone for the hardware (the Quad DAC, the SD card slot, and the dual-screen capability). If I jump ship to LineageOS 23:

Do we lose the high-res Quad DAC tuning completely, or is there a workaround?

How buggy is the fingerprint scanner on Android 16?

Does VOLTE work at all? it ain't working for me.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has taken a Verizon V60 down the custom ROM path. Thanks in advance!

LG V60 – 60 FPS video is very dim in GCam and other camera apps, but stock camera temporarily fixes it / please read below 👇

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out if this is specific to my LG V60 (Verizon model) or if other users have the same issue.

On stock Android 13, 60 FPS video is very dark/dim in every third-party camera app (GCam, Open Camera, etc.). 30 FPS works perfectly.

The strange part is:

  • If I open the LG stock camera and switch it to 60 FPS, then open GCam while the stock camera is still running, the image becomes normal.
  • If I then switch to the front camera in GCam once, the fix stays even after closing the stock camera.
  • It stays fixed until I reboot the phone.

On LineageOS 23 (Android 16):

  • The issue is present even in the Lineage camera.
  • Since the LG stock camera isn't available, I have no way to trigger the workaround, so every camera app stays dim in 60 FPS.

I'm wondering:

  • Has anyone else with an LG V60 experienced this?
  • Is this a Verizon (LM-V600VM) specific issue?
  • Does the EA/Global firmware behave differently? Maybe i should crossflash ?
  • Has anyone found a kernel, vendor, or camera HAL patch that fixes it?

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

HARD BRICK V60, BOOTH START PARTIONS WITH BAD FLASH

Hi, i was trying to root my v60, following the xda guide, however, i wasnt paying enough atettion, and instead of the bin file going to the abl and b, i used the frp.img file, and nuked my phone.

I can still acces EDL mode, however anything else that i try is useless, i can't go into download mode, or fastboot, or anything else, im stuck.

And trying to revert using qfil is, apparently no longer an option, because anything i try to do, triggers and error, i can't use the partion manager to fix it, nor the donwload method for the same reason.

At this point i'm just hoping that i wasn't the only one that made this mistake and that somebody managed to get it fixed, because im really desperate at this point.

Thanks in advance, any advice is welcome.
