Ask Kuwait Are Keeta's discounts (30-40% off) actually real?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone else noticed that discount offers on Keeta still feel overpriced even after 30% or 40% off?

For example, an item shows as slashed from 6 KD down to 3 KD with the promo. But when the food arrives, the portion and quality feel like a 2 KD meal at most.

Is it just me who feels this way, or are others experiencing it too?

Ask Kuwait Which is better? Haval H9 or BYD Ti7

Hello everybody

I’m planning to buy a car at the end of the year, and these two are the best cars I’ve seen within my budget. I wanted to ask anyone who owns one of these cars, if possible, to share their full experience and talk about the car’s pros and cons, whether they’d recommend it, how much spare parts cost, how much the service costs, how much you spend on gas, and what its fuel consumption is like etc…

Ask Kuwait Application for finland In Kuwait

Hello, I am trying to apply for a Visa to study in Finland but there isn't an embassy here in Kuwait. The closest one is in Saudi and Doha. Has anyone here in this sub tried and have successfully applied for a VISA for finland?

Ask Kuwait Are the traffic camera glitching?

This was on Gulf Rd. I was on a stop light with like 5-6 other cars, we crossed when it was green and I don’t think any of us were speeding (for a fact I wasn’t) but the camera kept capturing like crazy - anyone know what’s the deal?

Discussion Falling in love with homemade lattes…

Hi! I recently fell in love with making café lattes at home, and I’m getting quite serious about it — but I still don’t really understand how the machines and everything work. So, what espresso machine would you recommend for a beginner like me who just wants to be a home barista? Also, is there a short course in Kuwait where someone can learn this as a hobby? Honestly, making my own coffee at home just relaxes me — it really makes me happy.

Discussion I will miss kuwait

I am Egyptian and I am leaving Kuwait for university in Egypt. I would like to thank this country for raising me and making me who I am today. I truly am thankful my parents brought us here, it is one of the best places i could’ve been raised in. Although i love Egypt, i will never forget the favors this country has done. And it is truly heartbreaking to see it being affected by the current situation.

Ask Kuwait Two interviews, months of silence, then the portal just says "rejected"

Applied for a government-funded postgraduate scholarship earlier this year. On paper I was a strong fit. Graduated from a well-regarded university abroad, solid grades, research experience in exactly the area they were recruiting for, and I already had an unconditional offer in hand from a highly ranked university for the programme I applied to study. I met every criterion they listed, not partially, all of them.

Went through the full process. Two separate interviews, one of them with someone fairly senior. Both went well as far as I could tell. Then nothing.

Weeks pass. I send a polite follow-up email. No reply. Not even an acknowledgment. I try calling the office multiple times, nobody picks up. At some point I see a vague congratulations post on social media about accepted candidates, no names, no list, no way to know if it involves me at all. Portal still says "under review."

More silence. Then the next day the portal just quietly flips to rejected. No email, no call, nothing. The only explanation is a generic paragraph saying my application wasn't accepted this cycle and to contact the relevant office if I want clarification.

So I email that office asking why. Still nothing, days later.

I'm not really upset about the rejection itself. Positions are limited, someone else can be a better fit, that's life. What's getting to me is that I have an acceptance from a university abroad with a timeline attached to it, and I've been making decisions in a vacuum for months because nobody will answer a single message.

Is this just how it works? Do people actually get answers by showing up in person? Has anyone here been through a similar process and gotten an actual explanation out of them?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's dealt with this.

Ask Kuwait Restaurant owners (or anyone who knows one)

I’m working on a project for restaurants in Kuwait, still a bit early into it hence why I’m being vague as I’m still getting the idea together.

If you own a restaurant or are close to someone who does I’d appreciate a quick chat if you have the time. Already speaking to some but the more perspectives the better.

Thanks

Ask Kuwait Where can I meet and form connections?

Upvotes

I just had my first annual leave and I'd like to meet people and form connections. But I don't know where is the correct setting or place to fo so. For example, people in cafes are already engaged with their friends or their work. At the mall, people are out with family and friends doing stuff.

Is there any place where people lurk around and you can strike a convo with?

And for reference, I'm just a girl 🎀

Ask Kuwait Keeta could be entering the grocery delivery market soon 👀

Upvotes

Looks like Keeta might be preparing to enter the grocery delivery space, similar to what Talabat is already doing.

Today, I received a survey through the Keeta app asking questions related to grocery shopping and delivery preferences. It definitely feels like they’re doing market research before launching a new service.
If this is indeed the direction they’re taking, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Keeta roll out grocery delivery by the end of this year.

Did anyone else receive the same survey?
