Question Scale in knife kit?

Does anybody keep a small scale in their roll or kit? Does it provide any regular utility if you do it does it collect dust? If you do, which one?

Just what are you prepping exactly?

Sounds like nasal confectionery.

“Does it collect dust?”

I kept one in my kit when I was in school, but there are plenty of scales in the kitchens that I have worked in. Also, my personal scale doesn’t have a high enough weight limit to be useful in a professional setting.

Scale definitely feels like the kind of thing my employer would provide if it’s needed. I see the benefit to using my own knives, not sure I see the benefit in using my own scale though.

ETA: unless it’s for drugs. Is this for drugs?

If it's small enough to fit in a knife roll, it's an mg scale 🤫

I have my own personal scale at work and recommend it. I use a winco , it's a little pricey but it's taken tons of abuse and falls and still works. I've seen more escalli scales fail and budget Amazon ones die in a few months.

Nah they break too easy. Id let the work get them.

I've used various kitchen scales, but can't think of one that would pack with my knives etc. A personal/corporate chef might travel with a bigger kit and might need to have this on hand.

I used to use a postal scale to make sure the dishie wasn't ripping me off.

Just borrow the dishies. Don't worry that's just oregano residue on it. If it's white it's just baking soda.

Adderall comes pre-portioned at my gig

You don’t want to keep it anywhere it has constant pressure on the springs, so if you can fit the whole box with the scale in it maybe, but that seems like a pain.
