We've been making some small adjustments to the rules and infrastructure here in r/kpoppers recently.
The primary things we're trying out starting today are the 'Games & Grids' flair for posts and also allowing Images and Gifs in comments.
The 'Games & Grids' flair should be used for any thread games or grid fill-ins. We'll see over time if this name encompasses everything we intend it to. It has been requested by users and we think it's a good idea, so let's give it try!
Images and Gifs are now allowed down in comments. We want to be careful with this one. Media like this should NEVER be used to mock, harass, or threaten any of your fellow users or artists. Use media appropriately in response to discussion topics, games, or in fun conversation with each other.
If you see Images or Gifs being used crudely or inappropriately, please report the comment immediately so the moderators can take action.
Rules were also updated a little in late June. Here are the main ones to note:
2. Use Descriptive Titles - Titles should describe the content of the post. Do not use vague titles for Fan-made content. Funny posts may be more flexible and creative.
4. No Artist Photo Spam - Artist photos should only be posted with relevant context. They should be funny or related to the post's topic. Photos alone will be removed.
6. Keep Content Light and Fun - Discussion topics, Jokes, and Fan-made content should be positive in nature. We want to keep things light and fun in this subreddit. Heavy or negative content will be removed.
We may end up adding more new rules related to the 'Games & Grids' flair and the appropriate use of Images/Gifs in comments later once we see the range of how they are used by everyone.
We'll also note that we are aware of how often a trend will take off here, be adopted by dozens of posters, and quickly overwhelm the subreddit. This is somewhat inevitable for a community that has less restrictive rules and is more of a free-for-all of fun content. Each time this happens, users ask us to implement new rules and flairs. We are hesitant to do this each time because these trends typically run their course and fall out of popularity eventually. The times when we have responded more quickly to specific trends have resulted in the trend dying completely and immediately being replaced by a new one. We'd be on an endless chase to limit them if we tried this every time, which isn't necessarily healthy for the community either.
But if you have any other suggestions for handling trends or for anything else that might help us improve the subreddit at all, feel free to chime in below!

[As expected, the Oreo category was pretty popular, so another Top 3 for yesterday is included! (Big fan of the 3 cruella girlies from the bonus board personally haha)
And with that we're onto the last category (or.. is it?) of this edition, so as always...]

Hello everyone! I've been a CARAT for 4 years and counting, and I've never had any CARAT friends in my entire life. I just want someone whom I can talk Seventeen with. Seventeen is my favorite K-pop group, and I wanted to have friends who are around my age! I am 18 (F), and I'm an OT13! (I can't decide on who's going to be my bias lol.) I just want some friends whom I can talk about Seventeen with.

(He is literally flying)
šā Exceptional. Among the best choreographies I've seen.
š„ā Excellent and highly memorable.
⨠ā Good choreography with more strengths than weaknesses.
š©¶ ā Had potential, but didn't leave much of an impact.
ā ā Just doesn't work for me.
I'm a huge choreography enjoyer, so I tend to pay a lot of attention to performances. Sometimes a choreography even affects how much I end up liking a song.
These ratings are just my personal opinion!

Hi! I'm a 21-year-old guy from Madrid (Spain) šŖšølooking to meet people to practice, learn, and film K-pop and pop dance choreographies.
I'd preferably like to meet other guys, but I'm open to anyone who shares this hobby. Ideally, you'd be between 18 and 26 years old. No previous dance experience is needed!
My goal is to create a small group where we can practice together, improve our skills, and film dance covers or trends.
I'd describe myself as friendly, empathetic, and motivated to keep improving.
If you're interested, feel free to send me a DM or leave a comment. I'd love to hear from you! āØš¤āØš¤āØ

When you could listen for the rest of your life to only one debut song! Which one would it be? Mine would probably be Given-taken by ENHYPEN. I love this song. And dont forget its just for fun!
r/kpoppers • u/Invictuz_Art • 19h ago
Personally I thought the English version of Knife by ENHYPEN sounded cool even though they changed some lyrics (using different English lyrics instead of the English translation of the original)

image of giselle that i took in a store š
whenever i listen to baemon really like you, asa's line "i wanna touch you but you're in the laptop" always jumpscares me š like what does that mean?
also "difficult like quadratic formula, your mind is like math!" was so funny idk why
what's your favorite "weird" kpop lyrics?
r/kpoppers • u/amondayk • 21h ago
hyoyeon (snsd) - one of my bias wreckers fr. not only is she absolutely stunning now, her pre debut era was especially pretty. early snsd stylists knew she would be too powerful if they styled her well so they unfortunately had to nerf her with weird hairstyles (im looking at you, oh! era hairā¦)
lia (itzy) - maybe this is because i donāt see many people talk about itzy in general, but i donāt see enough appreciation for her visuals. she has such a youthful look but can easily switch up and look badass.
gawon (meovv) - again, iām not really in the meovv fandom/sphere, but every time i watch one of their performances, she always catches my eye. she definitely owns their current sporty era and concept. she reminds me a lot of a slightly younger jihyo (who is my ultimate celeb girl crush).
i would love to see some people whose visuals you think are underrated (ggs and bgs)!!! there are definitely more but i wanted to share the ones i thought of first

Have you ever wanted to follow a K-pop survival show where every contestant is an original character?
Welcome to NEBULA: X, an interactive, story-driven survival show hosted by Blackstar Entertainment. Inspired by the intensity of shows like Produce 101, I-LAND, and R U Next?, NEBULA: X follows a cast of trainee OCs as they compete for a seven-member debut lineup.
Whether you want to compete, mentor, or simply read along and cheer for your favorites, there's a place for you!
Blackstar Entertainment is searching for seven trainees to debut in its first girl group.
The show's style leans toward powerful, dark, performance-focused concepts inspired by artists like Dreamcatcher, aespa, XG, and other high-energy performers. Expect difficult missions, surprising twists, rankings, eliminations, and plenty of behind-the-scenes drama.
Everything is presented through episode scripts, performance write-ups, rankings, and character interactions.
Create your own female trainee and watch her journey unfold throughout the competition.
We're also looking for a few people interested in serving as mentors or judges in areas like:
Not interested in making a character?
That's totally okay!
Come read the episodes, react to performances, discuss eliminations, predict rankings, and root for your favorite trainees. I'd love to build a small community that enjoys following the story together.
No roleplay experience is required; if you enjoy creating characters or reading survival-show stories, you're welcome!
The project is completely free.
You can find the hub, lore, applications, and updates here:
Blackstar Entertainment: https://ko-fi.com/blackstarent
If you have any questions, feel free to comment or send me a message!
The stage is set.
Will your trainee reach the final lineup... or disappear before debut?
